This is my full review of a prototype version of the new Juggernaut Ultra FS Pro which is now in full factory production as the Juggernaut Ultra FS pro 2.
The FS Pro 2 now has a dual battery option which the prototype did not have and the production bike only comes in a 26" x 4" wide fat tire configuration. I did not see a 27.5 x 3" wheel set option on the website.

By far the best review video I've watched since I started researching ebikes about 19 mths, 2 wks, and 4 days ago! You cover everything from top to bottom including financing. I'm actually relieved that I found this on youtube. It has helped me delete 4 brands off of my list of 6. I'm currently "on the fence" on deciding between Delfast or Bitrix. I really would like to be able to place an order for the new Bitrix XD Dual Chain (the website lists it on backorder with no real data on how long it may take). The FS Pro is a beautiful second choice for Bitrix. I have been communicating with a Delfast rep in LA who tells me they just recrived a large shipment (I hope Bitrix posts info like that as it happens). Anyway, I've had bikes and motorcycles my whole life. I'm currently a retired US Army Paratrooper and now a full time care provider for a family member. I haven't been able to ride anything but a stationary bike for the last 22 months because she requires alot of assistance for basically everything. But, I've made some adjustments and ready to start riding again real soon. I want to find out if Bitrix offers any type of military discount or if they may have any type of sales/discounts in the near future, I've given you a thumbs up for an OUTSTANDING REVIEW, I'm subscribing so I can find more of your reviews. Thanks for ALL of the info, the great scenery, the trail beside the river, and explaining things so that they are easy to understand.

Wow you are a good man who served and continues to sacrifice by caring for sick family members. I know it's tough because I watched my mom care for my grandma until she (grandma) passed at 90 years old. The last years were hard because she had a stroke and was wheelchair bound. As for delfast....omg...i love that ebike. The power is amazing from what I've seen. It's basically a dirtbike and far more powerful than the biktrix. It would be prohibited on many of the Tahoe trails I've been on sadly. I need to test one!!!!!!

Well, I'm 60 year old and my "just pedal power" bike cost $3K + over 10 years ago. I could keep up with the 30 something crowd up until a few years ago so I lost interest in riding with the groups. My bike is going up for sale and I'm getting one of these so I can keep up with the group on the uphill parts ... I can still shred the downhills just fine!

I’m in the same boat. I’m not far behind you in age. Filipinos hide their age well lol. I love e-bikes because every single one of my bicycle friends dislike e-bikes but they are also younger than me or simply more fit than me. My ebike let’s me hangout with them without getting left behind. One day I’ll be too old to even ride at all even with an ebike … but I’m not there yet.

I have a juggernaut Dual Battery, and it is the best I have ever seen. I built a special rack just for my bikes. I couldn't find one good enough to do the job in my area. I hit Lake Erie bike trails, and Canal Trails. Planning on recording my trips, with trophy Bucks, and fishing off the charts. I know others are going to remember me with U.S. Outdoors, because of the coverage is so multiple interests. All powered by solar charging for everything. I have more fun now than ever as a kid, now pushing mid 60's. Still need a sturdy off road trailer, and a couple drones. Thank you for your info, you did a fine job on this video.

I own this exact bike and 160nm torque beets Bosh 85nm, on sport mode level 5 and I was able to reach 70Km/hr on flat road. I ride this bike on trails and in the winter its just amazing, I lower the tire pressure to about 8psi and can float on the snow in the trails. Awesome bike for climbing hills, max out at 1500Watts and that is just perfect. I purchased the bike in Dec 2021 and road all winter and can do about 90Km on the snow trails on a full charge at level 1 or 2 as you go higher in the assist level ie level 3 to 5 the range decrease but still can do 60Km and that is using the throttle and climbing quite a bit! this bike is 60lbs and you do not feel it, good suspension and braking system, which you absolutely needed when you ride fast. For the summer I set my tire pressure to 20psi (30psi is max psi) and my range gets even better, plenty of range for me.

Best Review of an e-MTB I have ever watched! Great job... And I think this is all around one of the best e-MTB offerings on the market today. I'm going to have to seriously consider getting one although I am more of a mild trail and street riding type rider this bike would definitely encourage me to get onto the trail more often. And with the 27.5 X 3 in tire set up it looks like it would roll just fine on the streets as well... Again, great review my friend!!

Will switch the rubber for 26 x 4" big smoothies in the back and 27.5 x 2.8 schwalbe in front, road versions. Chopper style. Silent, fast and under the radar.😎😉 thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it.💪🚴‍♂️

I had JUST made the purchase of this bike. YES. Lot's of bucks! So I had a little bit of second-guessing. Found this AWESOME review and set my mind at ease. Dude, we should go out for a ride. That trail in truckee looks awesome. I am over in trail city (Redding, CA) and I will now be able to hit those "other" trails, that I shy'd away from before. Wish I would have upgraded to the 4-piston brakes. I did get the higher end cassette as that motor will likely chew up some sprockets. And I did get a rack and the armageddon light. thinking of some bike camping and fishing trips. so this will serve me well. THANKS again! P.S. like you, I am a little more advance in the years haha. still wanna play though! :D

Thanks for the great info. Ordered the Fat FS ULTRA PRO. Plenty fire roads here. 6000ft Elev. I had planned to swap between 26x4 and 27.5x3 wheels. But that would require a new fork as well. According to Biktrix support.

I completely agree you can definitely still ride this bike while the battery is dead. Remember set your gearing to your Cadence not your speed. Ride your comfortable Cadence and you will notice you'll be a couple of miles an hour slower than you would be on a lighter bike but it should feel no different. I notice my speed will go from being 13 miles an hour on a gravel track to write at 10 miles an hour once the battery is dead. Mean we are talkin many many many many miles down the track but point is at 100 miles if you need to keep going it's not a problem. You're not going to have to stop dropping all your gear your Speedwell reduce. No big deal

Good information, I just placed an order for the Fat FS Pro. I was planning on switching between fat & 27.5x3. But Biktrix support “Brooklyn” stated that Boost hub will not fit the fatty fork and I would need new fork to accommodate 27.5x3 wheels. I’m in Reno too, Galena forest. EUNORAU SPECTER is this same bike. Also look into the SPECTER ST which is a Step Thru version only available in a 18.5” frame w/27.5”x3” Wheels but you’ll need to upgrade EUNORAU’s stock 180mm Hydraulic Disc Brakes to the 203mm 4piston accessory for an additional $190 but it’s worth the upgrade. The EUNORAU SPECTER ST looks to be a serious on/off road Hunting/Fishing/Camping EBike originally offered last October and only now (August) being shipped out to US customers.

Both. You can buy various setups. Some are just pedal assist which is what the rental shops use. They are legal up in Tahoe. Or you can get pedal assist with throttle override both cheap and expensive versions or you can get ebike that look like motorcycles like the Sur Ron and Talaria which get alot of hate because they look like motorcycles but they are not.

@mixflip
@mixflip 2 жыл бұрын
On a perfectly flat road I believe it can go 28mph. Range is subjective as well. Body weight, tire pressure, road surface, road grade, wind, temperature of the battery, temperature of the day since batteries perform less in winter, throttle only vs pedal assist. Lots of variables when dealing with range.

Thoughtfully and tastefully made video. Thank you. My thoughts on the bike- I want this in a hybrid form. Think commuter mountain bike. I want it all. Fenders. Rack. Lights. Better kickstand. More weight, but that will be a problem if I see it that way, and then I can solve the “problem” on my own terms, perhaps, by adapting/removing said add-ons. Too easy. Gimme a 4x4 Cadillac, if you will. I’ll drive it as I see fit. Otherwise, as-is? I would treat it like family. But with MY upgrades? Consider myself married. LOL

I bought one of these and had it for a summer. If you plan on buying it upgrade everything. Within the first 3 months of owning it I went through 3 derrailuers had to upgrade the rear hub because the pawls were worn flat, and so many other issues I cannot list them here. Seemed like every time I took this thing out for a ride something broke. I used it to commute on a 10 mile ride. After the 3 months I not only bought the bike but put over $1500 into the bike getting it repaired and upgraded. I than sold it this summer for less than 2200 as no one wanted to buy it. Worst purchase I have ever done.

Happy New Year 2022 Flip! Always be safe. I trust the battery cells are Samsung, Panasonic, or LG? Ebikes are still insanely overpriced. $4K USD? I'm also enamored of Cargo bikes. Some trick Riese & Muller's from Germany are $8K+ USD. Good grief. A new 2022 Kawasaki KLR 650 with ABS and hard saddle bag touring setup is in that category. Just picked up a mint TREK 4900 mtb for a Bafang BBS HD conversion. Ride safe brother.

How long would it take to charge a 17 amp hour battery if I put 3 amps in every hour? Alright I'm just teasing. It's 17 / 3. So the answer is 5 hours 40 minutes. You'll notice a little bit of Trail off at the very end but it's nothing to worry about because your battery is more than 95%. Take it and go again

Bad ass bike. But on a separate note, each time I hear “regenerative breaking” I think, why not reinvent the whole system with twin or triplet batteries A & B and maybe C, with A powering the motor and B feeding from a front hub generator. C is full and next in line to run the motor. When A dies, C takes over while B is almost finished charging. Next A begins to charge and B is next in line to drive. Invent a controller that can manage this flip flop cycle. Only plug it in to a charger if it sits for a while and needs a boost. Smart guys, get to work 🙏 😁

@mixflip
@mixflip 2 жыл бұрын
Bosch is better and also more expensive. As for rockshox vs RST. I don't have the data but in general Rockshox has a longer history of producing high quality forks and shocks. RST has a long history of making cheaper budget type products. On paper quality vs real world performance....I have no data. All I know is that if a shock has preload and rebound adjustment and a good amount of travel....then it is good no matter who makes it in the grand scheme of things.

A point of contention to my discerning eye, the welds I see look pretty crude. I'm not saying they are bad welds but it would have been nice if they had taken the time to do some light touch ups around the welds with a grinder to improve its appearance. The Ultra FS Pro is a beast but it's 4k+ and idk maybe i just expect better for the money I spend despite it being a minor thing. FYI Specialized has a kick ass e-bike, their mid drive is absolutely silent compared to this, but is also 3k more.

Have either of you welded aluminum? I'm not sure you know what aluminum welds are supposed to look like. I think you might be thinking of Internet MIG welding. It looks great but doesn't hold very well. I didn't notice anything wrong with any of these Wells if you want to put a time stamp where this crappy weld your looking at is visible. Time stamp looks like this 3:16. If you write it in that format it'll make a link so that I can click on that and I'm take me right to that part of the video.

Well do you want to silent e-bike? That's fine you're going to have to pick a motor with nylon gears. You're going to have to pick which thing you're complaining about. Is it going to be the noise of the motor or you or the nylon gears? Because you can't have both. Honestly I think it's fine to complain about a little bit of noise. That's a decision for you.
@eliasshedd
@eliasshedd 2 жыл бұрын
The specialized "Kick-Ass" e-bike you referring to is that the 70 Newton meter motor? You remember this is a 160 Newton meter motor right? You realize this motor is 228% of the Kick-Ass motor you're referring to? I am only being so hard on you because you stepped in here like you're some sort of authority with your "discerning eye". You have never built aluminum race cars. I have. You were not aware that specialized e-bikes have very small motors. I am. Apparently you didn't know that it's the metal gears that causes the whine. And to be completely honest I'm a little surprised that the thing decided to go for the metal gear. The nylon gear that they have been using even with 160 newton meters very rarely fail. I had to guess I think they're just trying to make this thing Bulletproof so that you can write at 20,000 miles and not wear out that nylon gear. Again to be completely honest I might come down on the side of I would rather be completely silent and change that nylon gear after the 10,000 Mi or whatever that it goes. I think bafang has decided they don't want any part of their motor to be able to wear out with regular use. Pro-tip; I bet $10 that it's exactly the same size and if you wanted to silence that motor you could pull out the steel gear and put in the nylon one and that would completely silence it.

True....I struggled with the decision too. I had a conversation with an older aged hunter in Carson City Nevada. He said he could use this bike for hunting chucker birds. It's silent and could get him closer than a dirtbike or quad. Dirtbikes are loud and can stink up a valley trail. Plus he is 60 years old but in good health and just needs help. Also no gas, gaskets, carburetors, licenses etc to deal with. Also dirtbikes can't go where I was riding in this video. Ebikes in general have their pros and cons for sure.

@@mixflip Exactly right, I was all set to get one of the new 300cc dual sports, but when I looked at e-mtb's and realized the possible range and greater riding opportunities I went e-bike. This particular bike was a serious option, but I went with E-Cells 1500 AWD for riding in sand and mud. Still would like to get a mid-drive some day, but for now I'm very happy with my choice. Biktrix is a great company from all that I've seen and will probably go with one of there bikes someday. There's something fishy going on w/ all these companies and their torque claims. Many 1000cc superport motorcycles have around 110 Nm of torque, but those will take you to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and are capable of going >180mph
@YSPDJapan
@YSPDJapan Жыл бұрын
Torque is just the fulcrum based force the motor can output. You can create that much, and more, force by using an extension on a wrench. Horsepower, however, is a function of torque and velocity and is affected by gearing. So when e bikes use a lot of gears to create large torque values, their total HP is relatively low (1000/1500 W), or 1.2-2 HP because the output RPM is low Bikes make 100+ HP because the engine revs to 12000 RPM. How fast do the motor and your legs spin?

What you need to understand is that this is a Class II mountain bike, which is illegal on all trails in CA and most other states. Including all those trails in Tahoe Reno area. Some fire roads may be OK unless they are part of a State or National park in CA. This is really a very low end spec'd bike with entry level components or even below what is considered entry level. Last you need to consider dealer support, when something goes wrong and it will. Not sure how this manufacturer handles that. One last thing, do not get that bike wet...just saying it wont go well...
@mixflip
@mixflip 2 жыл бұрын
All true. I believe you can remove the throttle and set the speed limit in the settings to make the bike legal in many states. Of course there isn't much you can do about the 1000 watt motor though. Some states have a 750 watt limit. Like I said at the end... it's not for everyone. I just got a 250 watt mid drive ebike in for review and I'm going to bring up the pros and cons of a little 250 watt mid drive ebike. I agree with you on support. I live within walking distance to a Giant bicycles store front with Giant bike mechanics inside 6 days a week. That is actually a huge selling point when it comes to $5000 electronic toys that get beat on monthly. Very good points indeed. Note I live in Nevada and Nevada has many Tahoe bike trails that ebikes are allowed on. Nevada also has national parks where class 1 2 and 3 ebikes can be ridden. www.fs.usda.gov/visit/e-bikes

@@darthstrukt I’m very happy with the bike overall, I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Beware of shipping damage! The first bike (fat tire) arrived with the box severely damaged. So much so that the FEDEX guy advised me not to accept delivery. I declined the delivery and contacted Biktrix support. They stated that since I declined delivery that I can be billed for the return shipping charges. Biktrix normally advises customers to accept the bike and they will replace any broken parts. They requested photos of the box. Which FEDEX provided. After 2 days Callum informed me that they would send another bike and if I would like to make any changes. I then switched to the 27.5x3 model, lots of single track here. The 2nd bike arrived 2 weeks later with minor damage to the box, I took pics of box. I found the derailleur & hanger bent, damn! Contacted Callum again, he requested pics and to take the bike to LBS to determine extent of the damage. I refused his request as I don’t have the means to transport a 72lbs bike. Thus he sent me a new hanger and derailleur. I could not wait another 2 weeks and ordered a SRAM GX derailleur(2day Prime) and straighten the bent hanger. Overall Biktrix is a good company, I saved almost $600 in sales tax & shipping. My nephew worked for FEDEX and he said it is common for boxes of that size to get jammed up in the conveyor belt resulting in damage.
