This video is a sloppy mess. Short assessment is that Thumb Throttle is good if you’re mostly using pedal assist. Twist Throttle is good for non-pedal assist pedaling and no pedal riding. Also, Thumb Throttle takes up less handle bar space.

Looking at trying to change to a twist since it hurts my thumb holding it down going to work 😂

I have to repair my pedal assist wire, and using the Thumb a lot is annoying… so is the fact that the 1st 10% of lever travel = full power 🚀

Hi there, nice video, one question though what are you wearing a mask for?
@DotDotMatrixАй бұрын
Wind chill... I think it was December when I recorded it. The kind that aren't rigid work really good for winter riding.

Is wheeling easier with thumb throttle or twist?
@DotDotMatrix Жыл бұрын
Def [twist] throttle… and it makes it way cooler in general.

@@DotDotMatrix which throttle? And does it accelerate fast?
@DotDotMatrix Жыл бұрын
Oops, meant to say twist… The acceleration or torque is very fast when starting but the power curve slows as you’re going faster… so for the 1st second I’m trying to not spin out my tire and then I’m giving it all it has…. I’ve never timed it but I can probably get up to 30 mph on a flat in under 10 seconds… I will probably test that with and without pedaling soon.

@@DotDotMatrix dang they don't make throttles for the super 73 z1 all the ones I've found are 3 pin the z1 is a 6 pin

hai provato a smontarlo ? sarei curioso come è fatto dentro monta un encoder incrementale ?
@DotDotMatrix10 ай бұрын
I didn’t take it apart beyond the wiring, but it could be a Hall Effect Sensor.
@seperosa10 ай бұрын
Yes, it's true there is a hall sensor but my curiosity is does it just turn it on and off or are there more speed steps?@@DotDotMatrix

I don’t know enough to know what I’m talking about, but it feels like if the magnet is partially over the sensor it starts react to it, but as soon as it’s fully over the magnet it’s at 100% throttle... so 90% of the throttle action is at 100% and there is very little play between 0 and 100% as a result its hard to go slow with the throttle and is easier to use pedal assist in that case. This is a link to a picture of the thumb throttle sensor stamped 49E 1335 and the throttle magnet.... drive.google.com/file/d/1Rh-eFoKdiRbcMITCifglTuIhoqsuU9pI/view?usp=sharing
