I got mine about 6 weeks ago and I'm loving it. I usually ride about 40km at a time mostly on flats with a few long gradual inclines and stay on pas 2 most of the time. I use the throttle sparingly to get rolling or pass someone or just the occasional boost when needed and I usually arrive home with half a charge still showing. Sometimes on long flats I just use pas 1 wich doesn't really feel like much, it just kinda takes 20 lbs of feeling of weight away and makes it feel like a regular hybrid. I really like that because one of the big reasons I went for this model is that I wanted exercise and something simplistic like my other hybrid. I don't want a big bulky and heavy frame and huge wide tires. I can still put this on a bike rack on a bus if I want to. And I don't want fenders or racks as I only ride in good weather and I don't use it for utility at all, only pleasure rides. I never carry more than my backpack so this bike suits me perfectly. I upgraded the seat to a serfas rx and got a suspension post for it and what a difference, the stock seat is ok but if you're gonna be on it for 4 hours it starts to be pretty uncomfortable. I swiveled the bars a little more than I saw the ones on your bike were turned wich brought the grips up considerably and I'm sitting in a more upright position now. Not as upright as something like a beach cruiser but not hunched over either. I can kinda sit up and relax and sightsee or lean into it a bit and be aggressive. And I find with the bars that way the bike handles much better. Its flickable but not twitchy at all and feels completely stable at speed. And one thing that really surprised me when I got it is how quiet the motor is, I mean its damm near silent!..of course you can hear it but you do have to consciously listen for it, it's actually kinda easy to forget your on an electric bike without the noise. And l was leery of the whole single speed idea until I tried it and now I like not having gears to mess with or have to maintain and it adds to the overall simplicity of this bike. Once you get used to using the pas levels and throttle where you normally might change gears it really does become quite intuitive. Don't knock it 'til you try it. If you're looking for a very simple and basic urban bomber from a company that offers great quality at a decent price then you kinda owe it to yourself to check this out. There are a few options that are kinda similar out there, some are more reputable than others fer sure but the radmission is certainly worth a look. For me, its perfect 😊

I just ordered one and plan on using it for biking to work and the local grocery. This review was most helpful after watching 3 or 4 others. Being in Louisiana, and extremely flat where I live, I travel the 8.5 miles to work in 45 minutes (traffic lights permitting) on my Trek mountain bike with offroad tires. I'm pretty athletic for a guy in his mid 50's so this should be a breeze for the commute. I have only 1 large overpass to cross and it is only about 3 stories tall so a quick throttle up will be helpful. I also wanted something of the same design as the Trek and a manageable weight to bring it up the stairs to the condo. Hoping to give it a video review when I get a chance of riding in Downtown Baton Rouge and on the paved part of the Mississippi River levee. The scenery is really nice. With the cost of diesel, this will pay for itself in 6 months or less.

I have watched a bunch of your reviews and being that I’m looking at getting 2 bikes, one for my wife and one for myself, it’s nice to hear your wife’s thoughts as well. I’d be looking at the regular frame for me and the mid-step for her, as she is a little shorter than I am. It seems like there are concessions to make with every bike on the market and one just has to decide what features are most important, versus the cost of the actual bike. I like the idea and price of the Letric XP 2.0, but think a “regular” style bike would be more useful in the long term. We’re having a baby in December so eventually I would like to get a kid trailer like the Burley for family outings. We’re also considering the Ride1UP models as well…with the 500 series hitting a sweet spot of features vs price. Hard to decide and living in Pennsylvania there aren’t any dealers around that stock any of these, so buying without trying is a gamble.
@EbikeEscape3 жыл бұрын
Scott, congrats on the baby! We're expecting as well. One thing to think about is the Thule Yepp Maxi (we did a video last year). Our child prefers it much more to the Burley though the Burley still serves its purpose (rain, needing a stroller etc.) We also love our RadWagon though obviously the price is much higher. Good luck on whatever you decide - sounds like you're on the right track!
@scotteger62713 жыл бұрын
@@EbikeEscape thanks for the response and congrats too! I’ll check out that Thule. I’ll have to find and watch your video on it to get all the specs/limitations. Seems like the trailers are limited to a child that’s about 12 months old so it would be a while until our baby could go along. We wouldn’t really use the Burley as a stroller, unless we took the bikes somewhere and needed/wanted to walk around at the destination. We have a Chico jogger stroller for neighborhood walks and trail adventures after our little one arrives.

Very good video. I was a little worried about the sporadic but fairly short steep hills in my area but I'm fairly fit so it doesn't like it would be too much trouble. It retails in Europe now for about 800 Euros. Apart from that single gearing thing, I'm not really worried about the rest of the bike,looks really nice. Would you recommend it at that price?
