What a fun tour! My wifes great great grandfather came to Montana in the early 1890s to work in that copper mine. Her great grandpa was born in Great Falls and although he left MT as a young boy, his heart always seemed to be in MT. We have called MT home for 3 yrs now & know the true meaning of 'there is no place like home.'

I too love my ebike at 71 years old. It's an Aventon Sinch folding bike. I adjusted the computer from class II to class III. It truly is a pocket rocket fat tire bike. Love riding weather permitting as it is easily folded and loaded into my pickup for camping. Still also have my peddle only mountain bike. Love your bike tour. Keep your batteries charged, you and your bike!

Fun video. These bikes look fun. A couple of things I have wondered about these types of bikes. Some bike trails have signs that say, “No motorized vehicles beyond this point.” Wouldn’t an electric motor still technically make that illegal to ride those trails? Also, I wonder what the state laws are with kids under 16 riding them? A moped where I live is basically a gas version of these and needs a license. So I would think these would too? Not trying to be negative, they’re really cool! Just peaked my curiosity.
@gonagain2 жыл бұрын
Good questions Chad, and you'll need to check the ebike laws in your state, but generally speaking, they aren't considered motorized because that would also eliminate powered wheel chairs also. Some states have rules on how big the motor can be, but 750 watts is mostly ok everywhere. Also, how fast they go is usually regulated and most of these bikes are limited to 20mph, although that can be increased with a simple adjustment on some bikes to get you up to the 28-30 mph range of you're state allows it.
