Got to have an inside shower. I concur and recommend your approach to showering. I put a "sit on the porta-potty" shower in the back driver side corner of my Chevrolet van. I used it every day in my working travels in the 1970's. I like your sink drain fitting in the portable dog wash set up. I made a shower base with high sides from thin plywood covered with some scrap vinyl sheet flooring with a stub of plastic pipe draining through the van floor to "earth". If needed I had a piece of hose I could attach to the drain stub, perhaps, a time or two, to clandestinely drain the shower water into the flower plantings which I backed the van up to in the parking lot of the Ambassador Hotel in LA. I made a rectangle of 1/2 inch pvc pipe which I attached a 1/2 inch from the ceiling in 3 places forming a triangle. 1 ceiling attachment each near the corners next to the van side wall and 1 attaching point in the middle of the "outside" of the shower curtain hanging frame. This way I could easily see out the back window while driving and for use slide the shower curtains from their "storage positions" tight to the van wall to meet at the 1 attaching point in the middle of the "outside" of the shower curtain hanging frame. One side of one curtain was longer to overlap where they met. It had a hook hanger to secure the overlap section at the other side of the "outside" ceiling hanger. I also used the "mix the hot water in a bucket to just the right temp" approach. I used both a hose in the bucket to 12 volt pump to hand held shower with a wall mounted switch I could operate through the shower curtain as well as the simple, effective, quiet, bucket in the shower and cup as you demonstrated. Got to have an inside shower. A sit down, bucket and cup shower can even fit in a small car "home" and make life more than a bit better.

Tip when using the wipes always wash your face first not last, lol. There are the "man wipes" I use to get it was about 2 feet square and came in a little ball you just unrolled it, they fit in a pocket and had a plastic cover but if it did dry out a cap of bottled water would wet it down. I use to keep them and baby wipes in the vehicle, been a few years. Last time I looked it has been over 6 years since I bought anything on amazon, I do use it to find things but I buy elsewhere. Hope you guys stay safe and healthy.

Thank you Rick and Linda for your entertaining and informative videos. In February, we purchased a 5x8 enclosed trailer for our electric trike and bike to explore the Rails & Trails. We watched our first Gonagain video in March and fell through the rabbit hole…….we just placed our order for the Bluetti combo multicooler, 1800w, 200w solar panel for $1998.00 plus tax because of your past reviews. We need to insulate the trailer (your step by step video is helpful) we will be ready for our first weekend of dispersed camping in 2025.

I've watched you two make lots of beautiful meals over the years, even baking that yummy bread. I hope folks will go back and watch some of those videos cause it's really awesome! And the same in the shower info. Glad you mentioned the hydrogen peroxide. I remember that from the Hobo King! Also a little tricky I learned, if you have a little pan of water like what they use in a hospital for a bed bath, add five drops of tea tree oil and it works great! Really knocks down any order and leaves you feeling fresh and clean. I love your shower set up though, nice and private and much warmer than a shower tent outside! Blessings you two!!❤

I do “bath in a bucket”. I wash my shoulder length hair outside to keep the splashing out of the tent or camper. Save the final rinse water in a bucket for bathing. Might have to heat up some water if saved water is too cool. In the tent I put down a couple of towels on the floor, set the bucket there and start at the top and work down. I sit on a step stool to do feet. Wring the cloth out before wiping to save water and cut down on flooding. 😊

The floor hole will help with ventilation also. I’m not sure how you put that drain in the doggie pool so it doesn’t leak but this will be a game changer for me. During the long Helene power outage, we used an ac immersion heater dropped into a 7 gal water jug to heat shower water. We found it to be the most efficient way to heat water. Pumped water out thru vinyl tubing to a hand held shower head using a 12v transfer pump. This hack is how we take camping showers now in our truck topper.

Nice. I like the first shower option. This could be done in our pop-up camper. I have had good success with one of those battery propane instant water heaters however, I use a RV shower faucet to control the hot and cold water flow so once I get the flow adjustment right on the heater itself I just leave that alone. With only a 15 gal water tank I need to assemble a pump setup so I can collect water from rivers and streams so I can replenish my water tank during a pit stop. Thanks for the videos.

Being diabetic, I cook pork shoulders, beef roasts ahead of time and warm them up. Chicken thighs with the skin is a fav since I make the skin into "chips". Occasionally, I'll grab pre-marinated proteins that come in heavy sealed bags I can suis vide during daylight (use solar) and the left overs into glass storage for later. Being all electric, cooking during sunlight helps reduce energy consumption at night to just "warm up".
