Just finished this today. I was reading the back in Waterstones Bookshop to try something new, and the lovely ladies in there were telling me about the story, and how amazing it is. 😂 Love a good yap with other BookFolk. I had to preorder this book from the U.K. and that was because getting an e-galley was difficult. I've heard nothing but excellent things about this book so I had no issue with buying it. And, after being forced to get a book from Australia right before the pandemic (it was the last book in a trilogy and was NOT available ANYWHERE else), having a book I wanted shipped from the U.K. to the U.S. was not a big deal. When the time comes and if I'm allowed, then I will share a link to my review of "Godkiller."

ooh fantastic ! I managed to get a copy from Broken Binding, but have yet to pick it up. But I think I'll need to move it up my tbr now, as that sounds like my cup of tea. That's a shame that its mostly only available for UK (Uk based here but still) , I hate when books do that, it feels so silly to prevent your product from being readily available worldwide.

Loved this book! Loved it so much that I went on and bought a second copy just for the sprayed edges of the Waterstones limited edition :)). It was really the kind of book that I bought for the cover but ended up liking the story even more! As for the availability, I don't understand why it's not available anymore from amazon (kindle version) since I do have it both on kindle and audible, but it does appear that the kindle version doesn't exist at this time.. 🤔

I just finished this book last night and loved it. I'm surprised with how much is in it considering it's under 300 pages. I got the Broken Binding edition and living in the US, it took a while to get here with the international shipment issues.

Hi Elliot! Sounds interesting, and it does appear that the paperback and hardcover are available on Amazon through a third party seller, though both are a little pricey (the hardcover is actually listed at a lower price than the paperback???) I have added this to my TBR & hope to get it soon!

Sounds like a good read especially if it shares similarities with The Witcher which I’m enjoying a lot almost finished Tower Of Swallows. I do have to say I just got my copy of Peace and Turmoil in and what a beautiful hard back, I love the dust jacket art it’s actually one of my favorites in my collection, and I actually really like the feel of the hardcover and look, I don’t think I have a single book like that I’m really looking forward to diving into it once I finish The Witcher series.

I loved this book! There were a few moments where it felt like Kaner was trying a little too hard to make Kissen super edgy, but it was still a great read with awesome lore. And it definitely had some serious Witcher vibes

I just found your channel last night. While watching one of your videos I was thinking "man what happened to book covers? There are so few good, creative ones nowadays. They are all so generic now. Always just the title, and all the characters lined up. I wonder what it actually takes to make a good one." Then I click on KZbin today and see that. Yeah I had a hard time finding the book. So I ended getting it in nit the best way but if a publisher is going to go outta their way for exclusivity and makes it hard I don't feel as bad. After reading it though I did purchase a copy even though shipping was ridiculous.

I love a lot of the books that you do and I think you would adore Crown of Bones by A.K. Wilder. It's been my favorite book since I read it in 2021. Please give it a try if you get a chance! I would love to hear your thoughts on it. 🥰🥰

Don't know if you've already read the book by now, given that you wrote this 6 months ago 😂 It's more like they are bound or linked. If he gets hurt, she will get hurt en visa versa. They also can't get too far apart from each other or they will collapse in pain. Hope this helps a little.

I was really disappointed in the audio book. I had to stop it almost immediately due to the choice of articulation and tonality (to me it felt like an angry poetry slam) and decided to pick up the book instead. You mentioning the sometimes shorter sentences made me realize that that was playing into that a lot. I hope I'll end up liking it as I had to DNF Priory for now - I'm inexperienced with Hight Fantasy and Priory felt very much like that.

I've always hated the trope of gods needing human prayer or belief in order to exist. You don't see this "clap your hands if you believe" nonsense applied to other fantasy staples with mythological underpinnings nearly as often, like elves, dragons, or magic. Why not apply it them too? It would make the same amount of sense.

I didn't like the book. The main character reminded me of Xena the Warrior Princess, but a weaker version. Inara is like Xena's girl companion, in the tv show and Elogast is like Hercules, that travels with Xena, in the tv show. Godkiller storylines has been done before. Its a wannabe Xena Warrior Princess all over again.

I love listening to reviews of books I'll never read because I'm so sick of reading about evil gods and religion hatred in books. It's a dime a dozen and as a religious person, it's so annoying that our culture chastises belief. I presume since the protagonist is a godkiller we take the antigod side. (Not that I'm a pagan or believe in multiple gods, I just think it's an overused trope)

THANK YOU!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 It makes me sad when it is used to drag down religion, faith, and beliefs... In December I read The Bear and the Nightingale, as it is super popular and recommended as a great winter read. It was a total letdown, and my biggest disappointment of last year... I like it when in fantasy religion is explored, but not dragged down as a bad thing. I liked the way Sanderson did it with Elantris. Library of a Viking has a good review that better explains it regarding this book.
