Got these today, very influenced by this video - hands down, the most comfortable pair of boots I have worn. I worry that I might be wearing my Keen Targhee boots less now.

Purchased the low-cut version of this boot on eBay for Fall knock around wear. Was amazed at the construction, material, fit and finish of this item; they are also proportionally comfortable. Not too heavy but ruggedly built, they have proven to be nothing less than excellent for all day wear. Simply put, on a scale of 1 - 10, these easily score a 20! Thank you for this follow up video, as it is accurate and to the point. Cheers, mate!

I recently bought my first Ecco (ECCO Men's Citytray Avant Mid-cut Boots) and this video gives me assurance that mine will last for a fair amount of time too. The comfort it offers is unbelievably good, not just the foot-bed but it feels as if the shoe hugs the feet. Already eyeing ST. 1 Hybrid Men's Chukka Boot but no discount as of now in India.

"I have not done a whole lot of research on this topic", and then goes on to say it's "always some guy..." LOL! I've owned several pairs of different types of Ecco shoes for over 20 years. Ecco uses different kinds of sole material in different kinds of shoes. The track shoes are excellent, no problem with the soles, but on the dress shoes the soles do disintegrate after a few years, and become soft and cracked, leaving marks on the floor and carpet. I've experience this myself, with the track shoes and dress shoes both stored properly in the same closet. Ecco did honor the warranty, though, and hopefully they are no longer using the defective material in their new dress shoes.

I have been wearing Ecco for the last 17 years. I am on my feet all day on concrete floors and my Ecco’s feel the same from year 1 to year 5. I buy a new pair about every 5 years and wear the same pair every day all year. The older pairs get worn on the weekends and working around the house because they feel so comfortable. I wore Clark’s before switching and will never go back.

These are the most comfortable boots in any weather I wear these all year round in Florida at 90 plus degrees and super high humidity and rain everyday in summer feet never get hot or wet best boot in my opinion

I had some ECCO shoes for 8 or 9 years with no problems. I let them sit in the box for year 10 and 11. Now the soles have crumbled. 😢 But look at the amount of years I got out of them. 😎

8 years is a lot for a shoe at this price point! Still sucks that they crumbled though.

@@tommilano5431 The most interesting part is that the leather was in such good condition I wore them to the office. I kept feeling like the floor was sticky and then I realized the crumbling. By lunch I went home and changed shoes. I definitely learned something new last week. 😂

I've had 3 pairs of the low cut version of these. Pre 2017 pairs lasted 3+ years. The last pair gave out in just one.

been wearing iron ranger boots for 4 weeks now and my right heel been killing me especially after driving my car for a hour or so not so much from walking their fine i do already see some wear on the sole tho the edges are kind of disappearing. came across ur videos and well ordered a pair of these hopefully they gonna work out my search for a pair of shoes/boots is been 5 years ongoing getting into the 200-500 euro range atm last pair of shoes were meindl hicking boots that i broke within 6 months water got into them and the sole got lose from the shoe talking bout a shoe thats made for walking and cost me 275 euro. one hand i hope the ecco going to be good the other rather not because returning a pair of redwings after i wore them for close to a month is a pain. ill make an update when i wore them. nice video!

Good review. I've worn out the low cuts and demi boots over the years and now have two pairs of each. My only complaint is my latest pair of low cuts which are now about 5 y/o and have been babied and only little wear have separated where the sole sides flex and are/were bonded to the upper. Now they are basically no good. Debating whether to get another pair as I wear these all year. BTW, the leather IS two tone.

Thanks. These are great boots. Weird that they separated, I actually called Ecco years ago for a question, and they told me all of their boots were one piece construction.

I don't like moc toes on a hiking boots either. My Tracks actually have a slimmer toe box, must be an older model, I will take a good care of them now.

Hi Tom, what size are you normally in shoes and what size did you get for the Ecco Track 25 boot? I know there are no half sizes in Eccos, but wanted to hear your experience.

Hi. Below are my sizes from some other shoes: Vans old skool: 12 Clarks desert boot: 11 Allen Edmonds Dress Shoes: 11.5 E Thursday boots: 11.5 Ecco Track 25: size 45 fits me best. They run a bit wide, but they are good. Thanks for watching.

Hey, first of all - great video. Secondly I was wondering how to condition those shoes properly because they don't look like all nubuck as described on ecco website. They look more like a mix of nubuck and full grain leather and in theory that calls for different care products. Thanks!

Thank you! I just drop the conditioner on them, let it sit for a bit and wipe it off with a rag.

They will crumble, mine did. You have only had a short. Mine looked like new on top but the soles disappeared. Extremely disappointing. Same happened with a pair of ecco shoes. Mistake I made was throwing the boots away, as ecco issued me a voucher for the shoes and I no longer had the receipt for the shoes. I agree, the comfort of these boots is unsurpassed. From the minute you put them on they feel as if they were made for you.

I have worn only ecco track boots for about 20 years, summer, winter, every day. The metal lace eyelets can tear loose from the leather, and stitching around the toe can come loose. The soles have never disintegrated like I've seen in some videos. I have about five old pairs still in the closet from the past ten or more years. I have never seen the soles break up or melt. That is complete nonsense.

I’m always cautious when people start complaining about soles crumbling or any product that isn’t worth it. These boots are top quality, glad to hear yours are going strong.
