On the pondwater bud , I use echo power blend gold and that's also that colour, well it is in the uk anyway. For some unknown reason in the uk we can't seem to get red armour . On the 2511 gr8 little saw , they run excellent with a panther conversion kit bar and chain

You never disappoint! I broke down and $$ purchased an Egan pipe for my 2511. Wholly smokes does that thing perform! I had modded the muffler and this thing isn‘t any louder it seems. I am guessing it should run cooler as that muffler takes up a lot of space on the side of the cylinder. Base gasket delete and Stihl 1/4 pitch bar and chain. I grab this little bugger all the time for small stuff. Next will be that felling spike for it.👍

I don't mind my Egan pipe unless the exhaust is pointed at my ear...then it hurts if I don't have hearing protection on. I will be running the 0.325LP Oregon Nano chain soon. That should be better than my 3/8LP. I do have a Westcoast dog for it but I would say it's a bit extreme and wastes a bit of bar length.
@kbittorf3359 ай бұрын
@@boomupengineering I did notice last time I looked they were offering that Nano chain. The cost sure has gone up, I am glad I bought mine for less than $400. I think Dyno Joe makes a spike for them too. I will research, thanks for the info!

@@kbittorf335 RedBeard has a bumper on his website too. I think it was out of stock at the time I got mine from West Coast Saw. I bought my 2511t last year for about $450 with bar and chain. Looks like the price went up again to over $500.

@@boomupengineering Echo also makes the 2511P rear handle version of this saw which comes from the factory with a bump/dog spike.

I love to see what you do to those 2511's. Mine was new in late May. I really like it, but just a bit more power would be nice.

do you also get rid of the little "filler" piece on the transfers on the 2511? Or do you reinstall it before assembly?

FWIW if you don’t like the chain chatter, then you could buy the 2511 TN model which uses the new Oregon 80TXL chain which is .325.043 low pro! It’s smooth as silk and designed for saws under 1.75 hp. There is no kit to change the saw to a 80txl you need to buy the TN model from Echo.

IMHO dry weight of the saw eliminates the need to consider if one saws fuel tank is 8oz and the other is 7oz and whether it has a 10" b&c and the other has a 14" b&c. Echo 2511P rear handle comes with factory dog so I assume dogs maybe available through Echo and also fit the 2511T.

How many full turns out are your low and high jets on the carb after making the changes to the 2511?
@richardflagg3084Ай бұрын
Not far off from the factory settings to be honest. I can't remember exactly, but they are around 3-4 turns out at the factory. It's uncommon for sure. Most carbs are 1 turn out on both.

The saw was last used and tuned at 7000ish feet (altitude) and was not retuned for 900 ft. It had what I believe was Stihl HP, but can't say for sure.
