I have owned my MS310 for 10 years now. Had to do a complete overhaul and it runs damn good!

Even the not so pro saws deserve a little love! Of the few clamshell saws I've been into, the huskys do seem a little easier/less complex.

That’s very nice of you to fix the 310 for that gentleman. A lot of dealerships won’t do a seal job on an 1127 series due to the labor to get to the seals. I’ve rebuilt dozens of them over the years and they have always been good runners.

Stihl also sells a different part number seal for clutch side that you can replace like a pro saw without tearing the entire thing down cuz that sucks

I use the same orange rubber to block off the ports. I get mine from HD. Do you have any videos showing how to prep your saw? One person says she does vacuum first. That way the pressure won’t fill any holes. Take care.

I see that my MS311 is upgraded saw compared to this. Better quick release air filter, bigger more aggressive dogs, bigger muffler...

I have an 029 Stihl. I go through a lot of starter pawls. I've used both ,OEM and aftermarket starter pawls. I've converted to the 2 (double pawl) pawl set-up . Still go through too many starter pawls. I've checked for crank bearing play with the starter cover off & chain and bar off by trying to wiggle the flywheel. No play . I do have " flatish " wear on the flywheel bosses (bump-outs, tits,) where the pawls engage with the flywheel. My Stihl dealer says that it's not a problem with the flywheel , they see it all the time. Could the flats in the flywheel be my problem with having to habitually change starter pawls ??

What is your EMAIL ? I have a 400c . I also am looking at a Echo top handle not use witch one would be best to get port work done on. If you have a recommendation let me know. Thanks!
