Hey man, great video, I see that you've mentioned the Husqvarna caps, I got a couple and tried them out but the fuel spills right out. Do you have the round gaskets or are you using something flat? Just curious, if I could get this just right it would increase my productivity on the job. Any chance you have a link to the dogs? Thank you so much man. Very informative.
@NotYourAverageTreeMan2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, I have the round ones that came with the husky caps - they do seal, but because of the deep inner thread of the echo oil chamber you need to leave them relatively loose & make sure they don't get overtightened. If they do you'll need to reseat the rubber o-ring gasket thing. I can just about manage with mine cos were a small team and everyone knows they're a bit finicky, but I can't recommend them for a fast paced pro setting tbh... Yes mate, link below, west coast saws also have some on the market - might wanna check those out - much more expensive but that's what I'd have gone for if they were out when I was buying. I've also made my own - pretty easy to do - vid on the channel :) ...& will have a prototype batch for sale in the new year! Panther ones can be found here though: www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product/cm065-panfaa-saw-dawgs-echo-cs2511-tes-wes-skeleton-version/

I don’t have one mate so haven’t done it myself, but I know the muffler is very similar to the 201 (which I have worked on - check back a couple of vids on my uploads) However, if I had a 200 of my own I’d probably look at getting one of the snazzy west coast saws muffler mod pipe deflector things for it - that’s what my colleague has, ported and tuned up too and it’s an absolute beast. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but hope that’s of some use! 😊

@NotYourAverageTreeMan Жыл бұрын
It’s the ones for the 525 mate, part number somewhere in the comments 👌 Not gonna lie they’re finicky - if you over tighten them even slightly you need to re seat the rubber seal. Someone found a gasket that solved the problem deep on an American thread but I couldn’t find a matching part… Also I’ve since tried the snazzy 2500t caps as well and that’s totally different unfortunately :/

Great vid managed to get all the extra bits also cheers for that 👍 A mate at work has done all the mods on his 151 and has drilled a few holes in the bottom of his air filter casing for extra air flow do you or does anyone recons that would work on the echo? Cheers
@NotYourAverageTreeMan2 жыл бұрын
A guy on Arbtalk recommended taking out the rubber air pipe below the air filter but I haven’t done this - from my experience getting air in isn’t the problem, it’s getting more air out and increasing the fuel at the high end that makes the biggest difference - still dialling it in myself though - let me know if you give it a go! 🤙 Check the below comments on fuel caps - they do fit, but they’re a bit awkward to keep sealed!
@AlexAiiiiR2 жыл бұрын
@@NotYourAverageTreeMan ah ok might give that a go and will let you know what I find out 🤙 Ye they fit fine it’s making sure the rubber seals aren’t pushed in as I found that out the other week they work well now 👌

Wait so the muff still has the full catylitic converter setup inside choking-off flow? Thanks for the tip am subscribing just for that, would love to hear they hold up well over time :D Thanks for posting this I'm just breaking-in mine (still idling RPM, tank #3 now, and small quick cuts) am eager to get it broken-in so I can actually push it!!

Hey mate, I believe there are two oem mufflers - one with and one without a cat in there - pretty sure the one without comes as stock on the ‘c’ carving version but not 100% sure… Husky caps are gold - just don’t overtighten too much, the o-ring slips out of place pretty easily :) Good luck mate!

@NotYourAverageTreeMan2 жыл бұрын
Hey there mate! Yes there is, and it’s dead simple! The husky seals get easily dislodged from where they need to be when overtightened. Take them out, reseat the seal, give the threads a clean whilst you’re there… They need to be much looser than the original Echo ones - trust the seal & don’t over tighten them & all will be good :) 👍
