I just watched your video on the MS271 and now the 2511T. I own both these saws and love them. I did read in the comments on the 271 that when you finish a saw and give it back to the owner you like to see the look in their eyes when they bust it off. I see the same look when you crank it and run it for the first time. Pure excitement and joy. God bless you my friend!!!

The 2511t has replaced my 200t for 90% of trees. It’s an amazing saw.

Love my 2511t. Muffler mod (simply drill a 9/16" hole right where you welded the pipe on). Carb is ported (thin out the choke and throttle shaft and blade screw - red loctite 1st). 16" Panther 1/4 pitch bar and chain from Monkeybeaver. Bought a spare cylinder and ported it (used a diamond coated chain sharpening burr on the transfers), have yet to install the ported cylinder because it's just plain incredible as it is. 100+ tanks and she still running perfect. Redline oil and 90 no alky at 32:1. Thanks for the video - good stuff!

What is the blade screw? Is that the idle screw?
@scottmarshall67667 ай бұрын
It's the screw that holds the throttle blade to the throttle shaft. It's head and threads are quite large and jagged and is located right in the venturi. Thinning and smoothing the head and trimming back the exposed threads (but not so far as to remove the factory staking) helps airflow and fuel atomization. If you try this mod, be aware if this screw comes loose, it will destroy the saw, make sure to leave enough of the screw to keep it well locked in place. I've been doing this for years and have never seen one fail, but there is some risk. If you make sure it's staked in place well or red loctited or both, chances of a problem are extremely low.

I can’t believe. I posted that on the repair group for him And I got ZERO offers. Todd told me to gut the muffler. Per his request. He wanted it cut apart And I willing admit. I can’t weld worth a damn ESPECIALLY on metal that thin!!
