Thanks for the tour. I live in SA but haven't been to the Flinders Ranges since the early 70s when I had a LWB Land Rover with a Fairey overdrive. Lovely to see the beautiful lady who allows you to go shopping for milk mate. 😂🥰😎

You have certainly covered some ground this year Steve. I was there is July 21 and there was plenty of water in those gorges. I would not have aired up for those tracks. That is an old timers theory to protect the sidewalls but with modern tyres its better to have low pressures. You need to spend some time in the Vic high country to get used to steep rocky tracks but I agree the scenery in the Flinders is spectacular. Victorian Alps are not far behind though. Thanks for the video.

@mongreldogproductions l met another guy with a 4wd drive, who had a mountain bike strapped to front bullbars. Talked him into riding around the area including the Ridge Top Track. Sometimes we had to get off the bikes and walk down and up the hills, that's why they call them push bikes lol

Nice video to end with. Sorry you had that really still dusty day to contend with. That loop rd back to the Pound looks for me 'doable' in my 1996 Super Roo Outback. But I'd be travelling super slow and careful. Maybe 20 psi or lower on the rougher stuff.

Mate, Mount Chambers Gorge is a fantastic remote camp you should put on your list. It's off the road from Yunta to Arkaroola and your bike would get there. Well worth a look. PS, since we're talkin Chambers, have you done Chambers Pillar near the Finke race course?

Great video of a fantastic area. Brought back some great memories when I did a tour into and around the Flinders in the early 1990s in an old Landcruiser with a couple of travelling companions. We had the place pretty much to ourselves back then. I guess now it's a lot more controlled and a bit of a popular honey trap. You are looking very trim these days Steve. You training for an Ironman?
@mongreldogproductions4 ай бұрын
Trim??? Probably a throwback to livin' like a dog on the bike...eating can tuna and not being able to go to the fridge all day, every day lol. I do cycle 20km most days when I'm home just to try and maintain some standard of fitness. Maybe it's the camera angles. Either way, I'll take it as a compliment. 😀
