Nice, I have a punch press, and a couple of Bridgeports layin' around the house, I guess I should dust them off.

Agreed, do you have any 2511t modified ready for work? Rather then send you my used saw, I'd like to see about buying a new one that's been modified to save time and shipping. Also i converted my current 2511 to 1/4 pitch .043 gauge with a stihl bar and chain i believe it's 12". That has made it a pleasure to use, I'd love to see how much better it works with some porting and timing changes.

What's the simplest, cheapest product to buy to weld these onto a muffler? Sorry for such ignorance, I always just use deflectors w/ bolt-holes from old muffs, would buy some of these right now if I had a way to affix them, is there a "small crude" type of welding or only "full-on"? Guess I'm wondering/hoping there's some small solder-type setup that makes ugly but usable welds for this kinda thing :P

"They're all open inside" -- to be clear you ONLY mean that there's no catalytic converter right? You did *not* remove the muffler-long baffle wall, that creates front&back halves, correct? Quite sure, but wanna be clear (because I'd never remove that wall, if you advised doing so I'd have to understand *why* ;D ), you do subsequently mention that when you make that new, enlarged exit-port on the muffler that you "drill through both walls" which makes me quite sure you did leave the whole baffle wall *but* basically negated/bypassed it by porting an exit-sized hole from the rear-half to the front-half (which would mean your setup is quite "open shot", like an Egan on a 660 or like an OEM 355t) I'd like to posit a better approach here, albeit not nearly as sexy looking as yours, but if one were to instead make a new muff-exit on the lower, rear portion of the front cover, that new exit would give them access for a Dremel to get at those (3) holes in the baffle-wall that are all on that far rear/left side of the wall, you can then enlarge 1+ of those holes, and now you have *not* bypassed the rear portion of the muffler (so now your cylinder scavenging is more efficient), and you can still have just as much flow as you want (would love if you have any hard #'s for exit portage in inches/mm's, or "% of exhaust flange", I was blown away at how small it is in OEM trim that exit is like 25% or less of exhaust-flange-area, so I know it wants a lot more open but I err towards smaller because I know that a bit too-small is OK, and a touch too-much starts crushing power!) I hope it's OK for me to mention but I made a video that goes into some finer details of muff-modding the 2511 especially the entry area / port-matching /etc here kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHmsi5aidrh2oqs Thanks again for all the great vids, have a 16-vid queue of yours right now ;D
