@@OccamsEraserhead I saw E&B in Boston, August 1984. My girl and another friend went backstage so I waited outside in the alley breathing the exhaust fumes of their big truck worrying why she was taking so long. Will came outside and stood next to me. I said "Good show, Will. " He said, "Thank ya" in his thick Liverpool accent. I asked if he saw a little bleached blonde and a dark haired girl, The blonde, my girl, was in love with Ian. He said he had not. I saw Pete came outside and riding his bicycle into the Boston midnite and I thought that was pretty dangerous. Then I saw Ian come out with his coat on his shoulders and none of "my girls." I went back to the car and they were there with the road manager and went to a club with him and spent the night in his hotel. Fun, huh? Anyway, interested to hear your stories about the band!

I met Ian and Will back in early 1996 when they showed up at Bionic Records in Huntington Beach California and signed autographs and played a song for their recent project ElectraFixion. They played “Just a Touch Away”. So imagine my glee when this album came out a little over a year later and it was on that album.

They set themselves apart from the rest, both in that great era in British music, and overall. On disc, in concert, in the recording studio, they were brilliant, consistently so. Can't believe that people hung on to the inane dreck produced by Liverpool crosstowner Paul McCartney while these guys were making such majestic, thought provoking music during this period.

Ian has always been very vocal about hating U2 and feeling his band could/should be as big as they became. He says Bono/U2 ripped off everything his band was doing back in the early 80s. It's all quite funny.

@@ManMonkey600 The Bunnymen are sorely little known in America. Such a great band! 🌹

Pete de Freitas really did complete the sound for that band. Great song though. Too bad Stephen Morris wasn't there to fill in as drummer for this performance.
