Thanks so much for the great series so far! I'm really hoping you will carry it solidly into the mid game at least. I've started ONI several times, but always get a little stalled on the transition from early game to mid game. This series is really helping to solidify a set of steps in my mind for how to progress my colony without trying to rush to setups I'm not ready for. Really looking forward to oxygen production and temperature management. I've seen your SPOM video, but I think I try to skip from early game directly to a full Rodriguez. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate this series, but you said at the start you'll be taking it slow, now all of a sudden, you're like 25 cycles ahead, the base has been opened up you have a tank full of water and fish, where's the bit about catching the fish? Also I would've liked to have seen how you tackled the Slimelung spreading everywhere after opening up that bottom pit.

I'm following the series too, but I don't agree that literally everything needs to be touched on. He's taught us how to wrangle critters - putting 1 and 1 together to figure out where the fish came from should be pretty easy. To successfully play ONI, you need the skills he's teaching, but, more importantly, you need to be able to creatively apply it to other areas of the game without direct instruction. Per the Slimelung... he already explained that in a prior episode. CO2 or O2 kills the germ. All of this is in the dictionary he recommended you read in the beginning.

No one ever seems to use algae terrariums (I mean I dont really use them either anymore) - why do you think that is? Too dupe labor intensive? Too algae-hungry? With slime being a renewable resource now, from meteor showers, do you think they might have a comeback?

They are actually more efficient buildings, but they require more dupe labor. They also will over pressurize the area (popping ear drums) if you aren't careful.

Don't destroy your CO2 It can be used to get polluted water Which can be used for polluted dirt and polluted oxygen

yes you can but that technique is for more advanced users, IE using the carbon skimmer etc.. Beginners need to just get rid of it.

Hi Echo , I am happy to see this beginners guide playlist is getting larger. I was just curious though as to why you chose to use the planter boxes over the farm tiles?

One reason I use planter boxes over farm tiles is it’s easier to switch over to the hydroponic tiles by building them under the planter boxes. Another reason is that the tile underneath the planter box will insulate the dirt in the planter box causing it to last longer before you have to heat/cool your crops. Just my two cents. I hope you don’t mind

I don't really know what happened. I'm pretty much following what you're saying to do. However, all of my circuits keep overloading, and I am not an electrician. Therefore, I don't understand how to fix it. It so this might take some more research, but I am really grateful for these videos. Otherwise, I really suck at these kinds of games

Absolutely love this series. Last night i was trying to get my skimmer to work and could not figure out why it’s not,still can’t so I’m going to ask. I have a pump feeding directly into the skimmer, keeps reporting “pipe blocked” i believe is says. So i added another skimmer making it x2 skimmers to x1 pump with the same report of “pipe blocked”. What gives, too much water/s??

I had this same issue , the way to fix it is ur bridge is facing the wrong direction switch the direction of the bridge and it will work. and make sure u have power to pump

I'm assuming the Pacus were a printing pod drop, you can get 8 adult pacu in one drop and they will flop their way over to the nearest water source. As for food, they eat seeds and algae, if you have any kind of farm going you'll generally be drowning in excess seeds so use whatever your farming most of to feed the pacus (for me normally its Mealweed or thimble reed

I noticed you dug straight through the slime biome with no concern whatsoever for the slimelung. With all the carbon dioxide that dropped in there were you just not concerned about it, or am I still way too paranoid about it remembering the days when getting the disease was a death sentence?

is it bad that i use drecko for reed fiber ? i started the farm just to get some glossy drecko but now i use them for reed fiber too, is it bad?
