What makes Tolle authentic is that he does not speak from the Ego. But how to explain this? The fact that he really does not say much new or different, that he is not flashy or charismatic in the usual sense...so WHAT makes people still want to listen to this man? What I feel inside is that he is speaking from his deeper Self, which touches my own deeper Self. You may call it by other names. No matter. The Ego is our usual, automatic and un-aware way of speaking. He does not speak in this way.

George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff brought his teachings to the Western world. Everything Eckhart speaks of is found in Gurdjieff's method, the Work, and his books, and Ouspensky's books (pupil of Gurdjieff). In his youth, Gurdjieff travelled extensively studying and observing many of the world's religions and cultures, and then took what he believed to be the most useful, and practical for the Western psyche, in order to help his pupils lead a more conscious existence. Eckhart essentially speaks of the Work, and explains it beautifully. Extraordinary.

Why do some of us get triggered by Tolle? What is it in us that cannot simply sit and wonder if he might have something to offer that might improve our lives? The answer as I see it: It is the mental construct of ego at its tenacious. Those of us who have experienced the "Dark Night Of The Soul" have often emerged much less self-centered and much more certain that the way we were living simply didn't work; in other words, less arrogant and open to new ways of being and living. As for me, I appreciate someone who has experienced that of which he speaks with such authority. I am not jealous of him. Instead, I am inspired to be more of who I really am without the social programming and religious limitations on my personal greatness.

It's so interesting to observe how some faces from the audience, in the back of those whom questioning Eckhart, are so absent, so not present. They don't even know the spiritual magnitude of the teacher who speaks in front of them. Probably they attended this conference due to work obligation :)
@chubbatheBOSS6 жыл бұрын
I'd say that folks working in tech corporations as engineers, etc. are perhaps the most identified with their mind and their thoughts so it's very challenging for them to understand that there is a much greater intelligence than some software program that governs the universe(s). Their mind's intelligence gives their self value, and they can't see any thing else unless it fits the narrow world of logic as they understand it. Even the world of emotions is like an alien being inside of them since they have little awareness or concern about it. It doesn't help that our modern world supports that way of living- idolizing so called logic and demonizing emotions while calling spirituality as woo hoo or "new agey." Things are changing though, and this is what the awakening is causing so many of us to realize. Though some people may seem hopeless, the fact is that one person's consciousness and presence affects another even if they cannot perceive it on a surface level, their true self within sees that. That is why people find conscious people attractive- it's not the person themselves, but rather that person reminds them of who they really are. I have seen this first hand when I practice conscious breath awareness and presence, the people in my family change. A space is created for others to feel their true self. We are constantly seeking to see and understand ourselves through other people, like a mirror. The faster way would be to go inwards :)

Love Bradley, he's such a sweet lovely guy ... Eckhart Tolle is a person that I consider to be "enlightened" ... he's an amazing individual who clearly demonstrates what is possible with the human mind and heart. LOVED this!!!

I have missed the boat for so long. Before Eckhart, I saw the present moment as a spider's web that was in my way, blocking my journey. Now I see that the spider's masterpiece IS the jewel of the journey.

It is supremely inspiring to witness and learn from a human being that is properly 'awake'... someone that has fully broken through.

I was also in a very dark space once, and just one morning I also saw everything differently. From depressed to a very strong person, I really believed up until today that God works in miraculous ways. I think that the Holy Spirit opened Echarts eyes to see things from a total different perspective. I relate to his teachings and know exactly what his talking about. Jesus is a wonderful God, and I give Him all the Glory and Praise everyday.

This guy is for real. The real deal. He's like a comedian that spends most of his time saying important stuff, and that comes to punch line every 20 minutes. Sometimes he seems like an imp that is surprised at what his amazing voice is doing

What impresses me about Eckart Tolle is his ability to always point to the most potent hubs and centres that have the potential to develop in us . He has an amazing ability to abstract and then string together what helps us the most. It's as though he's sowing seeds in our minds as he's talking.

Eckhart is a wise and wonderful gnome! He visited me one early morning, floating on his back across the room, smiling with the light of the world as he floated through the wall, his arms spread out on either side. I will never forget it for I didn't even know who he was at the time.I would only read his book and see his picture much later. Love you Eckhart.!

I am sure each graphic entry has its own story, but I took the time to listen to Echart Tolle's indepth knowledge being aware of consciousness experienced in the present time. He is well connected to the best understanding the creative spirit within us that is so deep we need to take time and learn about that something else that enables a thought to be there, and a awakening of our ownselves. The care and attention we give to our outer self should be also given to the inner.
