I can’t imagine my life without Eckhart Tolle. He ignited my passion for meditation, started me on my journey of spiritual awakening. I am at peace and it is sublime. If difficulties or negative thoughts arise I simply observe them, without anxiety, and say a grateful prayer for all the gifts I have received. I think that is the big prize here: awareness of life’s lessons and riches, including the tiniest, overlooked things, like a smile from a stranger or a hummingbird at the window. Thank you, dear teacher. You are one of the best gifts of all.

I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle since 2013 after going through a shocking and painful divorce at 27 years-old, which shook "my world" and reality as I knew it. All of a sudden, I was alone in the US, without family and friends - I had very little emotional support and had to learn how to rebuild "my life" on my own. The loneliness and disorientation I felt were intense, Eckhart Tolle's teachings was all I had, so I leaned into it heavily, listening to it every day in my solitude and finding comfort in his voice and in the truth I sensed in his teachings. 9 years later, after a difficult journey of uncovering a lot of unconsciousness (the divorce was just the beginning) my life has transformed - I remarried a wonderful man who is kind, loving, patient and we practice spirituality and work on our unconsciousness together, I have started my dream and vision of becoming a spiritual wellbeing coach with a focus on Eckhart's teachings, and my dream of moving to Portugal is finally coming true. I don't want to focus on the "outer layer" only and don't want to give the impression that life is now perfect, we all know this is not the nature of reality. There is still unconsciousness, but more often than not I am aware of it shortly after, so I'm able to let go and not create suffering. I continue to practice presence since I know anything I experience in the world of form is temporary and will eventually dissolve - I want to be cautious not to develop strong attachments to the world of form after manifesting the life that I always wanted. I felt the truth in my bones in everything that Eckhart teaches, but to have put it to the test (how he says it himself), and to now experience and see the truth for myself has been transformational - it has deepened my presence and trust in it, and it is incredibly liberating to feel connected to source throughout normal daily life. Thank you, Eckhart.. I am infinitely and forever grateful for your teachings

This is so on point and things I try to explain as well about meditation, like the famous quote from Buddha about when asked what he gained through meditation and answered "nothing". When I do morning meditation I sit in "nothingness" or "emptiness" and I get filled with Spirit...I become a "nobody"..no name, no identification with the body..just observe the breath, the body, observe everything, attach to nothing and when monkey-mind distracting thoughts show up I make that part of the meditation..just observe them, don't attach and they fade like summer clouds...and then I pass into the quantum field, or the realm of Spirit and that's where the magic begins....

I believe Mr. Tolle has indicated who we really are. our essential being, is conscious awareness and that thoughts, emotions, experiences often arise independent of our conscious awareness. Of course, these are only my words to try generalize the discussions I have heard. Has Mr. Tolle spoken about free-will and rather we possess it, or not and whether we have a permanent self? Personally, I believe we are highly conditioned and unconsicous but that at times, we are concsious. Just no permaent self.

A whole lot of thinking going on in this “meditation” about undoing. The very beginning offered the energy of being, the rest was an obstacle to get there that I found unnecessary. Had to turn it off. Will return if I ever want more thinking on doing vs being, but not for ‘meditation’ because I don’t want to use thoughts to get there. Again, it is unnecessary in my case. Just simple recognition is enough and more pleasant. I believe his wife offers this gracefully. I would like it if this video was titled ‘contemplation’ in place of ‘meditation’. I believe that would be more accurate.
