I’d suggest getting those studs out of there and try running a tap threw the threads to clear them out and get new hardware. Seams like the threading from the factory may be botched. Keep up the hard work, your on the home stretch.

same, had a godspeed/gsp 20g on a 1g lasted less than 2 years. should of got a cxracing 16g. those last a couple years with abuse.

So for one the ebay 16g isnt that bad as long as your not trying to push it to the limit of a genuine one. Now that black water line is actually a oil feed line for the head to the turbo. And i have installed two of those open dump o2 housings and the flanges was warped on both, so thats probably the issue. I use ebay stuff just as much as name brand but your the quality control when you buy from ebay. But keep it up man!

Yeah I'm not planning on pushing it to the limits. I had an ebay one before for years without issues so i figured I'd try my luck again. And ohhh okay didn't even think of that. Figured they would've included a braided like for that. Was going to pull oil from the head but decided to just use a restrictor and run from the OFH. But thank you! I'll probably grab one of those!

Try Arashi TDO6LS2 20g (6+6) with billet red turbine. It's like 600$ and way better then ebay's stuff. Does it work yes but this is more peace of mind and it spools really quick and when it hits max boost you can feel the extra power. Really nice turbo. I just didnt like there wastgate actuator I'm sure It works amazing but I went with kinugwa actuator way better fit

I got the same turbo from eBay but the only thing that has had me confused is the oil lines. Can I just use the stock ones?

The oil lines ... You can use that one ebay provide is the black one that it comes whit the kit and has 2 bolt whit oil holes and you need to connect in the head left there is a bolt there ... Them you have to put a plug to delete the oil feeding line from OEM and now you have your 16g installed you may need to drill your j pipe to connect your vaccum lines

You also might want to extend that open dump a little futher down

I was thinking the same thing now that I see it all mounted, its going to be dumping straight onto the IC piping

That would've been my first choice but I'm buying budget parts just to get the thing running and once I get and build a second motor I'll upgrade to some quality parts for that build

Just bought a car with this cheap turbo on it, just replaced with a mhi 16g. I don't know why people cheap out, do it right do it once.

Seems to me everything was fine and dandy up until you started 2 thread in the bolts that came with it I would just stick with DSM bolts honestly the Chinese clone should be the exact same bolt pattern

Use the double nut method to put the studs in

Thats actually what I tried and the inside of the nut stripped and shredded the threads.
