A couple days with out power. Last hurricane we was out for 7 weeks with out power. One man got shot trying to fight over gas for his generator. No gas pumps worked they was closed down and it was over 100 degrees. This is a game changer and possibly a life saver no killing people over gas .

Buy a generator that uses propane and stock up. Propane never goes bad.
@americandude3825 Жыл бұрын
The reality of it: people will always kill each other over dumb things. When emergencies happen…most people lose all sense of reasoning. My goal: BBB = beans, bullets, bandaids Beans - food on hand to support my family for up to six months Bullets - protect my family from any threat or provide food for them Band aid - first aid and other medical on hand to help Also can be used to barter. What I am working on now: ecoflow delta max and one extra battery for it as well as two ecoflow Bifacial solar panels. This is to compliment my generac gp8000e generator. As you mentioned - during a real emergency, gas will be gone. It is not realistic for me to store 20-30 gallons of gas. Therefore my generator will only have 10 gallons which is only good for about 16 hours of run time at 50%. Therefore I will use the ecoflow to power everything I need, charge it with the solar panels. The generator will be used only when absolutely required - and can also be used to charge the ecoflow if needed at two hours per charge of the ecoflow back to 100% (approximate). As a note about propane: it never goes bad as mentioned by the other gentleman, and it burns much cleaner. However, it burns twice as fast as gasoline and the cost for 20 gallons right now is roughly $55. (Similar to gasoline cost) Take care.

With an outage, you never know how long it will be. Running a kettle or anything that draws a lot of energy is just dumb. Hook it up to the fridge and keep your food from spoiling. Use a propane stove to heat food. That's a much smarter way to do things. If you can pay 1800+ for this and 1400+ for each battery, you can afford propane and a mini stove. I have the Delta Max and I plan on adding 2 more batteries to it to keep my fridge and freezer going as long as possible. Adding solar panels is a good idea as well. You can charge with solar during the day while the power is out but the EF panels are way over priced. At home, any good panel(s) will work.
@ShopSolarKits2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, you're right that if you're in an outage and you do not know when the power is coming back, its probably a good idea not to use your kettle unless absolutely necessary. Conserving energy is the name of the game! I hope you're enjoying the Delta Max!

It is amazing how many Delta MAX reviews, including this one, FAIL to highlight a MAJOR feature limitation regarding battery chemistry. Why the secrecy? It truly is MIND BOGGLING. When tossing around the term "lithium" consumers reasonably believe the manufacturer/reviewer is talking about LiFePo (LFP) battery chemistry, however, the Delta Max is spec'd with NMC chemistry which provides significantly lower life cycle than LFP. What does "life cycle" mean that the reviewers mostly FAIL to address? The simple answer is how many recharge cycles can be expected before the batteries start to degrade. What does "degrade" mean? Simply means the battery(s) will not recharge to their original full capacity. Most documentation suggests up to 75% LESS long term performance of NMC vs. LFP chemistry. Seems this is more important than popping popcorn or misstating "condenser" when the correct term is compressor. Interestingly, the Delta Pro provides LFP chemistry so the use of NMC in the Delta Max is even more curious considering both items are premium priced. There are other differences, mostly negative, associated with NMC vs LFP - bottom line, do your research. It is a shame EcoFlow cut this corner on the Delta MAX since otherwise it is the most feature packed solar generator on the market by a wide margin. Have a message into EcoFlow Support asking about this issue and if there is any update as of 03/22 I will update this message.

yes do your research, then look at how you will use the unit. 800 cycles 0 to 100% then 80% capacity for Max. if you use it couple times per week then that's years of use. more if you follow recommendations of 20% 80% limits. on the other hand if you're a banging KZbin commenter who does a cycle everyday, then look at other chemistry's, right tool for the job.
@EricGonzalez-bd1qd2 жыл бұрын
@@ThanksForTheLaugh exactly. And even if he did cycle daily, it would take over 2 years of DAILY use to reach the 80% so that's still not bad haha. If he's using it daily he's probably hauling it around and plugging unplugging things and chances are the unit will need replaced due to physical abuse before the battery fails lol.

Delta Max is great but for the price I'd rather get 2 Old Deltas. Much more versatile and flexible. Let's imagine there was a tornado and your whole neighborhood lost power but there's power everywhere else in the city. Being able to leave 1 Delta running the fridge and what ever else while you get a quick 1.6 hr charge on the other would be ideal. With 1 Delta Max you'd have to have a solar power panel and hope the weather is good, have a gas generator on site to recharge or just take the Max somewhere else to charge.

I have the Delta Max and one extra smart battery and with a simple adapter plug I use it for my 50 amp RV shore power. Fridge, microwave, even recharging house batteries - perfect. My only disappointment is that I was hoping to do a slow recharge from the 400w inverter in my 2021 RAM 2500 as I tow. I learned that the Delta Max requires pure sine wave inverter input to charge, and the truck inverter is not PSW. Trying to figure a way around this without risking the truck warranty. I do have two of their 160w solar panels - brilliant gear - so charging while stationary will be practical.
@davidarnold3442 жыл бұрын
You can charge straight from the DC of the truck. The Car charger can operate on 24v at 8 amps. 12v at 8 amps. But through the app you can lower the DC amp to match your DC outlet in the truck so you dont pop a fuse.
