Do you have any advise. Things are going really good and money is pouring in like crazy. How do I over come the fear that its all going to end? Do you ever have these thoughts or feelings?
@EcomHannah5 ай бұрын
On one hand, those thoughts can drive you insane but on the other hand It’s a constant that pushes us to continue to build Better Businesses and continue to adapt and grow and change. If it’s any constellation, even if you had a real job from one day to the next, there is no guarantees. I watched my dad go through four different companies not because he was fired and did a bad job but because the companies went under.

I'm pushing hard this week to get my star seller badge. 38 orders 3 without tracking so a week to raise it from 92% to 95%. Currently getting 2 sales a day on average. Should I run ads and a sale at the same time? OR Ads first then sales? OR Sales then ads? Conversion rate good, 8 - 10% across three top performers. Click rate 1.8 but visibility not good, competitive area. Going to sign up for masterclass :)
@EcomHannah5 ай бұрын
Hey there is no wrong answer on this as far as sales vs ads its more about knowing you numbers so you know when to turn them off or keep them on! Safe play is to only turn ads on for the ones taking off organically first

Is it ok to reuse an old dead etsy store that has like 25 sales and 5 reviews and change to a different niche? Or is it bad because the store has been dead for some time...?
@EcomHannah5 ай бұрын
It's always good to keep the momentum going especially since the store has had some sales and reviews in the past. I would just focus on revamping my existing store. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

What if the store is like 5 years old? Should we tell the customer why we were gone & then came back?

Hannah, I notice that a lot of the listings you chose were Etsy Picks or Best Sellers but we’re not implementing everything you are recommending we change for our listings. It seems like Etsy rewards poorly made listings. How do we compete with these listings that are poorly made but generating sales?
@EcomHannah4 ай бұрын
You will find case study examples of listings performing well despite poor imagery, bad SEO, etc., but there are other variables at play, with the biggest one being the listing's age. If a listing is several years old with numerous reviews, it could still maintain its rank. However, as a coach, I emphasize setting yourself up for success based on today's best practices. These poorly optimized listings are not standards-they are opportunities for you to compete. I wouldn’t say Etsy is "favoring" them, as there are many variables you may not be considering.
@oneblessedacrefarm4 ай бұрын
Hannah, would you say then if my listings are older to duplicate and relist with updated photos and SEO?
@oneblessedacrefarm4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your help!
@EcomHannah4 ай бұрын
Yes, if you see that the product is on the downward trend then the only thing that we can do to potentially revive it is what you've said above

I want to ask a question from you, If I turn on ads on my etsy account will it be charged through the credit card I added or through my revenue made on the platform? (Sorry if it's a stupid question)

sadly it wont charge your CC it will take from your account balance first then if you have none it will charge your cc on file

Yeah but then you don't make anything so counter productive. You have to charge too much in the first place because of the ridiculous fees

so, I just launches my store a couple of days ago. I'm obviously not expecting results RIGHT away, but at what point should I be trying a new listing strategy if no sales come in?
@EcomHannah4 ай бұрын
I’m not quite sure what you mean. On Etsy, new listings and new products is a never ending process as one is always trying different combinations and variations.. there’s always a need for a consistent inflow of fresh listings and products.

I’ve been running ads and a sale for about a week now and I seem to be getting loads of views but barely any clicks and absolutely no sales… I’m unsure what to do
@EcomHannah2 ай бұрын
One week is not an ideal data sample to conclude. Test few more days, also suggest investing at least the sale price before making a decision. If your shop is brand new you may need to invest even a little more before making a decision. Remember the only metric that matters is TACOS, roas, cpc, etc does not matter

@k0zm1k1tty5 ай бұрын
I am not Muslim. I was raised Christian, chose Judaism; and are now religion-less. I have had friends of all three faiths. I would not let your perception of how the world views your faith stop you. There are a lot of faith based shops, and faith centered items on Etsy. You are depriving other Muslims of Muslim owned business goods. You are depriving the world of learning the true beauty, beliefs, and nature of Muslim culture and religion. There are other Muslim people showing their face, their beard, on Etsy and their shops are doing very well. I never consider someone’s religion or hue when I buy on Etsy. Only the quality and authenticity of the product. In fact, I think many people come to Etsy for handmade and vintage products from small shops they can’t find at a mall. If I were you, I would lean into being Muslim as authentically as possible. That will sell your goods faster than being generic. I don’t buy from shops on Etsy that look generic because I see them as scams. Etsy is about not being unique. I can get generic cheap at the mall. I go to Etsy to spend money on something that not a lot of people have, by a content creator that is charging more because authenticity isn’t cheap. Be Muslim, be proud, share the beauty of being Muslim and Muslim life. That’s why people come, and that’s why they’ll purchase; because you dared to be yourself despite what other May feel. They come because you’re not afraid to express the immaculate beauty that created you in the first place. Don’t take that from the world .
@EcomHannah4 ай бұрын
I totally agree with the above statement! @khanry14, don’t let that hold you back. There are many inspiring stories of people from your faith who have achieved great success. If you stay true to yourself, that goodness will definitely shine through, and others will recognize it. I wish you all the best!!
