Hi Hannah! I'm ready to get serious about pod on Etsy. I have had an etsy store for a few years that I have used to sell vintage items. I have almost 400 listings with 114 feedback (4.5 stars). About 30 of my existing listings are pod. I've had several pod sales with about 8 feedback. Should I keep this store with a good sales history and feedback for pod, and move my vintage to a new store? Or should i start a new store with no sales or feedback for my pod store? I want my main focus to be pod. Thanks for your advice!

I took the advice to show my family and friends my Etsy pic for listing compared to my competition whose listing is a best seller. Everyone one of them chose mine and I’ve only made one sale on it 😅
@EcomHannah3 ай бұрын
Hey, that’s an awesome start!! There are many variables that could be causing this. It’s hard to tell without having more information. Other variables could be price point, time, niche selection, etc it’s good that you do this little practice with your family, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

@@EcomHannah I DO have one bestseller. Which is ironic since I’m in the red from running ads to test it lololol but 2 questions….should I back off the adds since the revenue isn’t picking up to cover the ads and is it smart to duplicate a bestseller or harmful or doesn’t matter?
@sandraroberts66233 ай бұрын
Thank you! I don't remember to do the duplicate when I go over my titles :( However I do have a listing that has 4 sales and 22 favorites and it stopped with sales. So I copied it and redid the image, title, description and have my fingers crossed! I guess I should go in and duplicate my Halloween and Christmas items from last year that were selling, I never deactivated them. Thanks for the reminders I did join the free masterclass, but I can't find your template I thought you said it was with the free version, but I could have heard wrong :)

Hi Hannah - great video thank you for sharing. Sometimes when I have a shirt that is just not getting views or anything and know it's not the design - and there is demand in my own shop - what I sometimes do is just change the first mock and sometimes the SEO. Then renew it. Do you think it's better to instead recreate it and list it new?
@EcomHannah3 ай бұрын
Its better to run it again with a new listing because that listing has already been judged by the algorithm, so its better to give it a fresh shot

Do you deactivate the old listing then if you create a duplicate with say not the listing image changing but something within the description/title/tags? It would look confusing in the shop to have multiple similar images of the same product

This is a common myth, so few people actually venture that deep into your product line, the pros definitely outweigh this con on this one

If I have a shop that has not been active for last 3 years (sold masks during pandemic and did not pivot) and want to get back into Etsy, should I open a new shop? Old shop has about 1000 sales and 126 5* reviews. And because I sold about $25k, I was rewarded with paying for required Etsy ads. I like the shop name but is the shop in Etsy jail after all this time? And would a new shop perform better? I know new listings get a bit of a bump but don’t know if old shop helps or hurts overall sales potential. I do have some hesitation with a new shop due to the bot shut downs. Thanks for your comments in advance!

Hi, thanks for your comment!! :) If it makes sense to keep momentum in the existing store, I would and if you are trying to weed out the vintage goods, then it’s totally fine - just keep adding new POD products.

I have one Halloween listing that has like 250 clicks and 34 favorites but only 1 purchase? Is it just bc people looked for Halloween and had no intention of purchasing then, or could it be something else?

It’s absolutely normal! The click-to-conversion ratio is decent, and that’s typically how it goes for listings like this.

Hi Hannah thanks for all your info! Question, I have a best seller from last Christmas and the product has changed from matte to glossy. I know i dont want to update the main image in that listing and I have to take the listing down since it doesnt accuratly represent the product. I was going to duplicate the listing and add new photos, but I will lose all the traction and reviews from the old listing, right? I am stuck. I thunk I know what to do but dont want to. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
@EcomHannah4 ай бұрын
In the main image is it like a night and day difference or can you just make the follow up images showing the matte version, my guess is they wont be able to tell the detail until they click in anyway, I would def try to keep it going in the existing listing with out changing the main image, how bad is it?

When you duplicate the listing, do you use the same SEO or test a different set of long tail keywords?

The thing about the Etsy algorithm is it's been very easy to game in the past. People can fake sales, throw money at ads, utilize social media etc - you don't know how they got there. Some just get lucky and manage to be seen at the right time. Etsy is starting to change that now, so it's even more important to have optimised listings. If you convert, you convert, and info like this boosts your chances. Hannah teaches actual business, not how to assume you can sell 10k a month in mugs just because [that shop] does.

No i didnt hate your video , i m a subscriber of your channel , i just talk about the vagueness of etsy algorithm. I saw one shop has 5 listings in first page so many times and when i observed listings were not good ! So many samples like that. If someone here on youtube organize my listings and trust herself that i ll gain thousands then i offer her thousands of dollars. Nobody can ! Because etsy algorithm is vague and no way to go up unless etsy brings you up ! Seo is a la fontain story. These days new etsy gurus starting to say tags are useless ! There are so many best sellers without tag or 3/4 tag which selling like hell. This also represents seo is an urban legend
