For everyone curious, we are putting the final touches on the van now and will upload a video when it is finished. We have had a lot of rain recently which has delayed us.

I just bought a 98 e350 with 36k miles and I have a question about the bed as we cant build here in Maine cause its to cold. What is laying down sideway like that like? My wife is 5'8 and Im 6'0 foot can you fit comfortably like that?

@@Techelp1001 Cool thanks for the quick reply, I like how simple you kept this. We are going to pretty much do the same exact thing even though we have never built anything and it will be for weekends only for the most part. i bought a memory foam mattress from amazon for my house a couple years ago and when I first received it in the box I was thinking .... How much for the solar stuff?
@whitneyforbess3 жыл бұрын
I recently bought a ford e-350 I’m going to build out, and one thing I’ve been mulling over in my head is if I’m going to insulate it or not. My van is all windows, on both sides, and I feel like the windows would cancel out any effect that installing insulation would have. I see that your van doesn’t have windows on the sides, so we have different situations for sure, but I’m still wondering if you have any thoughts or advice about it perhaps? Cheers, and nice build!
@Techelp10013 жыл бұрын
You can read online on insulation and how to install it and it is very controversial. After reading everything I could, we settled on this basic insulation in the van. I feel like it cuts down on some road noise and makes it heat up a little bit slower in the sunlight, so overall I think it was worth it but I wouldn't spend tons of money insulating a van because in the end as soon as you open up the doors it's the same temperature as outside.

@Techelp10014 жыл бұрын
We are happy with the size of the sink. We mostly only use it for washing hands, brushing teeth, and dispensing water so it is a good size for that. if you planned to wash pans in it you would need a little larger sink.

Awesome, looks very similar to ours! Can I ask what height the bed frame is? How tall are you, do you have room to sit up?
@Techelp10014 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay in responding. I wanted to measure again. The top of the bed frame is right at 13 1/2 inches off of the floor and the mattress in 6 inches thick. I am 5'11" and have room to sit up though I normally lay back on something because my head is right at the ceiling when I sit on the mattress.
