Excellent to see. Hope we get some in the South Island too.

This is actually a very nice coach. I drove some old cranky smoky ones back in the early 2000s but built in the 1980s with a double punch clutch and no assisted power steering. Quite a hard potato to peel. This is luxury. Post-editing: I think you kiwis are more advanced than the koalas or kangaroos in terms of renewables. When comes to the sound, well, I know this is a coach, I drove busses for 11 and a half years and one thing that I would find a great relief is the noise. Good to know it is quiet.

I'd have loved to have ridden in one of these when traveling home from Whangarei to Kaeo via Opua and Keri Keri as kid at boarding school. Would've made the 4 hour trip a lot less tiring.

EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries. The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing. Many people are holding off buying a new car or scooter until the electric vehicle they want becomes available. Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. So last century. Electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses, electric trash haulers, electric snow blowers, electric lawn mowers, electric weed whackers, electric hedge trimmers, electric snow mobiles, electric water craft, electric garden tools, electric mechanic tools, electric motor cycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric farm tractors, electric construction equipment, electric delivery vehicles, ...... everything is going electric. No worries about starting after sitting for a few months. Gas always needs repairs. If you care about the future for your children care about climate change

I can create a vehicle that puts out 10 billion Nm of torque through gearing. It is a completely meaningless number, particularly for an EV with a single speed gearbox. The only meaningful number is power in kW. Combined with the shape of the torque curve against speed (generally pretty flat then tapering off in an EV) tells you everything that you need to know about acceleration, gradability and driveability. Basic physics. With that out of the way. A good review of a very compelling vehicle. We need more of these for tourist and transport fleets.

The government should be funding these in this week budget for public transport at a lower fare charge

Where do you charge the bus? Do you have a lot of used charging stations in Australia?
