Very nice commander. I normaly don't put much of work in commander bases. But I like the general talking to the men with the polearm.

In the film 'Cromwell' the screenwriter pinches that prayer and puts it into the mouth of the actor Richard Harris who plays Cromwell. Astley is mentioned only once and doesn't have a speaking part as such - that's always bugged me. One thing that I think deserves mention is that Sir Jacob kept his parole and refused to join the 2nd Civil War, which demonstrates his qualities. It was Charles's perfidy that really determined his fate and final execution and Sir Jacob removed himself from that taint.

That's very true, he was a man of his word by all accounts. Cromwell is an interesting folm, some great performances but obviously rather loose with the history 👍

I'm sure somone will correct me but i assume the buff leather which is, when new, very pale has oils and other dressings added to weatherproof it. This would darken the buff.

Well, actually there were 3 we just collectively refer to them all as the English Civil War. First English Civil War - 1642-1646. Second English Civil War - 1648. Third English Civil War - 1649-1651 they are also part of the larger War of the Three Kingdoms which also takes in the Bishops war and the Irish Confederate wars 😁

You've done an epic job on this martin. The command looked epic and live the basing on it and the cavaliers look brilliant. Again love the bases with the mud being kicked up. Flags come out really nice aswell. Really looking forward to facing these. 😁👍

Thanks buddy 👍 the tufts and flowers are tajima, the grass, weeds and bits of wood are all mixes I've made up from multiple products, hope that helps
