I thought you were going to say in the description that you heavily modded the barrage, what a fantastic performer!! and price comparison forget about it this truck is a no brainier I definitely will get this one!!. One question in the description you say advantage barrage /ESC drag brake? the axial has that as well, please elaborate on that? Thanks buddy thumbs up!!

Thanks Rich! We really do enjoy running here. I meant bone stock mechanically...ha ha...may need to amend that as I have done quite a bit on the body, etc. I'll touch on the ESC, etc. a little more. The ESC/drag brake on the Barrage is superior out of the box...you also get throttle dual rate adjustment on the transmitter for the Barrage. Throttle dual rate adjustments are not typical on most rigs...definitely not typical on an entry level rig. Thanks for the comment Man!

I do indeed. I just finished the Dodge body, just need the decals. And I think it needs a new server the current one makes a weird noise. Got the new wheels and tires on it too.

I can't see it not being a great mood booster! To be honest, what I need more is HELP helping my friend... Trying to raise almost $600 within *two weeks* - and I'm having trouble dealing with how many people he knows, NOT wanting to help. 😕 It's more than I can do alone, but I will if it comes down to it. I won't bore you with all of it. I Pray everyday that nobody ever has to experience the Hell this guy is being forced to go through. But definitely! It's neat that there are more affordable, entry level scale platforms coming out on the market. They seem to go well together. I've had a Jeep G6 conversion planned since last year, and I'm going to try and get it done, along with many other projects. 🙄 Good crawl!

Yeah, I've got some good stuff in store for the G6, including SCXHR aftermarket frame rails, as well as some other major hop-up's, like aluminum gear case, SSD scale drive shafts, steel axle gears, beef tubes, etc. The body will be a dark Tamiya green, with white accents, and maybe a white hard top. 😝 It will essentially be my strongest 1.9 scale/crawler, capable of tackling the more technical mountain trails, second only to the Wraith.

Great video! Love my Barrage and my SCX10 ii RTR and don't think I will ever get rid of either one of them. My Barrage really loves the Gmade steely beadlocks in 1.55 with the Pit Bull Growler AT/Xtra 1.55 combo that I got for it.

I own both axial scx10 and the ecx barrage. the barrage is seriously impressive! I honestly think it crawls better then my scx10. I hands down prefer my scx over the ecx for many reasons. my axial has a quality to it that the ecx can't match and my scx is alot more fun to drive because it has a much more scale feel to it. that being said, the ecx is a lot of rig for what you pay! My daughters drive the ecx and love It!

I own two SCX10's....love em! Axial rigs are much more scale than a stock Barrage for sure. That said, for almost $150 less...the Barrage keeps right up with them; it sounds like you have discovered that as well. Thanks for the comment...have fun out there!

Interesting comparison... I guess it boils down to control resolution between TX and RX .. At the moment I have not seen any motor upgrades for the barrage?? Does it mention how many turn the 370 motor is in the owner manual?? Excellent video thanks for posting...... 8^)

Thanks!! It's a combination of things....Throttle dual rate on the TX, ESC/drag brake, gearing, and how many turns on the motor. The manual is pretty vague on most things...no mention of # of turns. Thanks for having a look and leaving a comment!

I have a ECX Barrage and I love mine! My main question I have is how do I replace the servo and what's the best one to get for this? And also how do you customize your rig?

The Barrage is a GREAT rig for sure! Did your servo go out? If so you might want to check with Horizon Hobbies as they would probably send you a replacement for free. If you just want to upgrade the servo...HiTec make some great servos...so does Futaba. Your really don't need a ton of torque as the rig is really light. The only mods I've done are to the body...I cut the running boards off, painted the fenders/bed black, attached two antennas in the bed, mirrors from RC4WD, winch from RC4WD, and a few decals. Hope that helps....

No problem....welcome to the highly addicting RC hobby! I painted the bed with black plasti dip...the fenders with flat black Tamiya paint.
