I thought biggie's album (ready to die)'s theme was very 2pac (persona, delivery, cadence, tone, etc was unique), but before that tupac had tracks like so many tears, me against the world, even those track titles like "suicidal thoughts, ready to die” just felt very tupac themed to be honest.

@@cartersports1 But that's just not true, listen to Party n Bull again. Biggie is talking about champagne, women and money. That's before he met Tupac. Tbh... Those topics were something everybody rapped about. So saying Big got that from Pac doesn't make sense

@@jayzee316 Ok well if that's true than what about songs like Open Fire? Where Pac is talking about moving weight outta town, and that's not his life... That was Biggie's life in the streets of Brooklyn and North Carolina it's documented. Pac wasn't never pushing no weight but yet he's rapping about it at the same time he's around Biggie

in 1991, pop artist Amy Grant released "Baby Baby" as her first single and it became a worldwide success. This notion that the late Biggie Smalls took the "baby baby" concept from tupac does not register as making sense since this was a "common phrase". Also Biggie made the phrase his own universally that even Amy Grant would approve and enjoy it and not be sensitive and attack Biggie for using this popular phrase. LOL

Biggie didn't warn Pac about Jack or Henchman. That's movie stuff, Timelines don't even add up, the warning was a week before Quad, Pac wasn't cool with Jack anymore by that time. The real warning was about King Tut, who Pac didn't know or hang out with. so it meant nothing. Pac asked him why he was warning him about the guy he(Biggie) was hanging out with and Biggie just told him he would give him more info later, which never comes. then Quad happens. Pac asks for that info, Biggie gives him the same runaround about how he will give him more info later but never does. then Pac learns the name and background of his sh0oter from his Cousin, who was locked up..(Pac's cousin says this. and so did Pac during his Sway interview, during the commercial break. which is on youtube.)

It's very reasonable tp believe that 2pac was around Jack less than a week before Quad, based on what Zayd said about their elders addressing 2pac about Rape case with Jack there...that was most likely the Thanksgiving before Quad. If you look at home video of Thanksgiving 94, someone who resembles and even sounds to be called "Jack" is in the video. But this even is besides the point...because it makes more sense that Biggie "warned" 2pac in the same manner his cousin and Mike Tyson did...and not about any planned robbery...which it makes more sense that even that was a last minute thing after 2pac had words with Jimmy

In that situation he was not. He was literally giving Biggie money, buying him clothes, letting him get stage time during his shows, put him in his group Thug Life, then to feel he was not loyal, is understandable why he' be angry. 2Pac also took the rap for 4 stolen guns that belonged to Biggie. I agree with the top commenter that Ed is a hip hop historian and an icon. But it would be nice if he got other questions about other hip hop artists. No interesting Public Enemy stories? De La stories? Slick Rick? Special Ed? Big Daddy Kane? Nas? Everything has to be about 2Pac and Biggie? Nobody wants to hear how Yo! MTV raps got started and how he got the gig, and what it was like behind the scenes doing that show? No? I’m the only one? All we care about is biggie and 2 pac from now until forever? People love 2pac so much this comment won’t only get a bunch of downvotes, I’tll probably get flagged and removed.

"Pac was happy for Big's success" Ed Lover. U Pac haters heard that right? Yeah Big blew up but Pac was still on top of the game. Everybody was watching and waiting to see how Pac move..even Big. Pac talked about death then Big talked about death. Pac did a double album then Big did a double album.

Big and Pac were kids coming up in the 70's, 80's, there was Telly Savalas who starred in Kojak. A cool, , bald headed detective who's smoot j greeting was "Who loves you Baby". The way he said Baby I'm sure influenced them both. A lot of kids were going around saying it...
