Man E.S. grew on me big time. At first I didn't like him but I kept giving him a chance because he had such beautiful words and beats. Now I can't get enough of his shit. Lamplighter is a god too. At first I wish E.S. rhymed a bit more but I appreciate that he doesn't. I don't think he would be the same if he did. Out of all the HF rappers, E.S. has the most poetic music. Words can't describe how beautiful I think his music is. The Doom, Death, and Despair he portrays gives me anxiety the way a great horror movie does. Very very few rappers can accomplish this. The impending sense of hopelessness is the equal to the end of the world.

Check out Aesop Rock, if you haven't heard him already, he is very dark on his last album, in his own quirky way, nothing like Ed or Shahmen but he talks about some evil shit too. Hes been my favorite artist since like 2000. Immortal Technique has some dark shit. I need more poetic rap like this. Any more suggestions? this guy seems to be the rapper that appeals to me, my life and my sensibilities the most. Fallout, fargo and floyd references that ive clocked already just from watching three of his vids. Not my favorite rapper but definately the one who is talking about the most relevant things to me and my life at the moment and i feel i can relate to. plus the beats are always thoughtfully constructed and wistful.
