Yeah that's why you never send your music to so called music professional to rate it. Because they're disingenuounes and sometimes jealous if see you have a dope talent. Best way to it out there promote it let people determine whether its good or not. Some mf rate my song crazy in love with Emma poorly. The song got 30k views in weeks and getting a lots streams on spotify. Fans say they like better than my hit song Maria.

Music Industry people are in the business to make money. Stupid is probably a stretch. They know that they don't have to be correct about a hit song or up and coming artist every single time. The strength is in the quantity not the quality. Go to the Billboard 100s, or whatever it's called. Do you know every song up there? Do you think most of them are "good songs"? How many of them will you know in 20 years word for word? An artist is looking for a number one album. The music industry is looking a mass amount of content. Good or bad it is still a payday for them.

Whitney Houston hated IWALY. Songs get passed on all the time. Anita Baker passed on what became Toni Braxton's mega hit debut album. Much of Pebbles debut was written for Vanessa Williams. LA Reid's girlfriend snatched the songs. My, My, My was offered to The Temptations, The Whispers before Johnny Gill swooped it up. After 7 was late to the session and Johnny got it. I still think After 7 would've knocked it out the park. People passed on songs cuz they didn't envision it for themselves.

Thanks 4 sharing. I don't think everyone at a label is a failed this or that. Some had good runs in other fields. Others may have went to college or whatever to be whatever it is they do at the label. Even the ones who "failed" gain knowledge and can pass that on to an artist so they don't make the same mistakes.....Isn't Ed Sheeran signed to a record company? Anyhow, again, thanks for the video and I wish you the best.

Music industry people are also the handlers too. They do stupid stuff on purpose. Artists don't get great songs written by other artist by accident. A song might be disliked by music people just because they don't like the artist singing the song or they feel like the song is just not right for the artist, but later they may like that same song they disliked when they have an artist in mind who they think the song would be perfect for. That is what I believe happened in Ed Sheeran's situation. The puppet artists get priority by music industry people even though they don't sell as many records as Ed Sheeran.

Labels only care about revenue and money and not artistry, they know nothing about good music. Case in point the label wanted Janet Jackson to make another album like Contro, Control 2 and had she done that, we wouldn't have Rhythm Nation. Her third album Janet. they wanted her to release If as the first single because they wanted a big song with a big production and it almost worked until That's The Way Love Goes was recorded and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Janet fought to make That’s the Way Love Goes the first single. Beyonce first album the label wanted Naughty Girl to be the first single because they saw it as a safe choice that it would chart high yet may not reach #1, great thing Beyonce went with Crazy in Love. Jagged Edge song Let's Get Married, a universal topic were told by labeles that they were not pop music and what middle America (white people) wanted to hear. The song sold 3million which is good and the label market the song more it could have sold 10 million. One great example of an industry exec who knew what they were doing was L.A Reid when it came to Mariah Carey Emancipation of Mimi album, when we wanted Mariah to record a few more songs because he wanted more strong singles, so Mariah went back into the studio with Jermaine Dupri and recorded Shake it Off, Get Your Number, We Belong Together and It's Like That, which we all know became one of Mariah Carey's best work.
