haha - long way to go for that but thank you. We tried hard to outperform our level of tech, one point & shoot, 2 gopros, 1 drone and some tesco own brand breakfast bars. Luckily 5 w/kg for 4 hours shines through anything haha x

@@KOMHuntTV Yeah, that was Kev, he was sending us updates of how many people knew him from KZbin 😂 7 of us went to Exmoor on Saturday and did the hardest 100km we’ve ever done in that heat. Have you ever done Martinhoe Common? Just a ridiculous climb!!

@@agnesrosalinde yes so the route was putting us down some really small and rough roads where Ed should be improving the average speed. Some of the small roads he was going faster up hill. I'm going to create a route that we might have to do a couple of laps but the downhills will be fast and flowing :-)

@@BehindtheKOM O yes I understand now. So Ed wanted to have a certain fast everage speed to get it into the time limit but because of the traffic and roughness of the roads he couldn't make that. A super beautiful route though but yeah...Looking forward to the next try.

Great video. Fantastic production. Ok the weather helped but very well done. Good effort on what you achieved Ed, chapeau. Tough going. I have ridden a lot in Cornwall and it's frustrating on the descents. You just can't relax and enjoy it, just sawtooth terrain. Give us part 2 ! 👍

We were soooooo lucky with the weather. Wouldn't have been able to do it this week in the heat, week before was thunderstorms. I think the South West doesn't get the respect it deserves with the hills. It's super tough as you know :-)

Without question this is harder than any Giro stage. The downhills dont make up for the uphills and on their own merit hills like Countisbury and Porlock are steeper and rougher than most mountain climbs in the pro tour.

I’m not sure how you’d define pro, I’ve had the conversation a fair bit. I used to race as a pro for 7 years, travelled the world and got paid very little. Now I have my own sponsors, race for myself and pay myself to do it😃
