@@westsidechalino I’ve been with Federal Credit Union from the beginning (18 yrs old). Now 49 yrs old. I did have an additional bank acct when I moved to a new state for a short time. The entire genuine model of my credit union speaks inclusion to their clients. As a client, you are a “stock holder”. In this, I am regarding to receiving substantial dividends. The largest in all my credit union life was 2020. The systems set in place are for you to succeed and get ahead. If you keep a balance, it’s rare to have fees for a checking/savings acct. For me, the feeling of doing business with a business that has your goals in mind is priceless. They offer tools and several options to guide you with their honest word. I, truly and honestly, can not fathom why anyone would do business with a bank that brazenly steals your money. I wonder why I see people banking at Wells Fargo. I couldn’t sleep thinking I had my money in a bank that would create false accts. extracting money from my legal accts. Now Bank of American has similar practices. ES&L Federal Credit Union was for Kodak employees and their families, originally but it’s specific to Upstate NY. I’ve heard great things about Navy Federal Credit Union. I was shocked I could join. It may be worth a look.

@@westsidechalino my accounts are 100% free no fees ever. If I were to overdraft my account I'm charged what I went over. Not what I went over plus $35 plus $10 per day or any of that garbage (I don't overdraft though) I can apply for and get loans way faster than it takes a big bank to file the paperwork and the loans carry a low interest rate.. (My car loan is 2%) any issues at all I can go into a branch and have it resolved in a few minutes. They don't play the same games as big banks because they have no shareholders to make happy so they are not trying to rip you off. They work to make YOU happy! My credit union also has member perks. Such as life insurance. The bank will give you a policy worth up to $200k for free or I can bump it up to $2mil for $5 a month. They also have car, home, renters etc. Insurance that also carry cheaper rates than the big names. They have a list of perks they offer.

This article critically examines wage theft by employers from employees. In addition to documenting how wage theft disproportionately affects marginalized workers, the article reveals how seldom these offenses are recognized as crimes and documents the normalization of wage theft through the neoliberal rhetoric that renders it unseen. Overall, we argue that wage theft extends far beyond the intentional, overt nonpayment of wages by atypical employers and encompasses many more insidious forms of stealing workers' time and wages. The article concludes with suggestions for approaching wage theft as an opportunity to actively resist neoliberal morality in all its (dis)guises.

I was with them for 22 years. I had thousands in Savings and about 4 thousand in checking. They closed my account without any noticeable. I got my money back. It messed up my automatic deposits and withdrawals. They said they don’t have to tell you why. I read that they had done this to many people for no apparent reason. Close it. I have 2 banks now. One is a credit union and the other is a smaller bank. Try to get all of your automatic deposits and withdrawals set up with another bank first if possible. I was chasing down these not to be late. Etc. Months later I received an email from them asking me to be on their advisory board. No way. Beware. Chase did it to people and did not give them their money as well with Wells Fargo. Stay away from these. Best wishes and good luck.

@@thumbob that speaks volumes when one of their employees is telling you to not trust them. I've seen how they've done other folks dirty such as family. My mother and two of her sisters live together. Twice did one of my aunts have to show proof that the mortgage was being paid on and in a timely fashion in order to stop those demons at B.O.A. from foreclosing on the home. When we first got married, my wife, who's from another state, was banking with B.O.A. At the time, things were tight for us. She had accidentally overdrafted the account, so we were going to cover the charge once I got paid again. Because we didn't pay the fee in whatever timeframe they were expecting, they informed her that she would have to pay some kind of late fee for the overdraft. We had never heard of such a thing before. I politely told my wife that was the end of her banking with B.O.A.

I recently switched from Wells Fargo, and I used to bank with Bank of American. Someone tried to steal from my Wells Fargo account but I was able to prevent it by switching banks and closing my Wells Fargo account in advance. When they tried to steal from my account, it was on May 31st of this year at 8:07 PM and earlier that day, I was falsely accused of stealing at 7-Eleven at 12:38ish AM. Now there is a case open with 7-Eleven.

On 3/31, three fraudulent checks were showing pending on my business account, totalling $10,000. We had the blank checks with those numbers at our office. I called BOA and reported it, but they didn't care. All they said was they would investigate and let me know after 60 days. They didn't even advise me to file a police report. One check of $1500 was cashed in a BOA branch in Cypress, CA. After 60 days, I received a letter from BOA that they investigated but concluded that I authorized the check and they would withdraw $8,500 from my account. So I made a police report on this theft. Come to think of it, there were two similar incidents before. When we had some sufficient fund, somebody forged a check, looking exactly like mine, very close to our check numbers, and cashed the check. The second incident was that our credit card deposits were going to some other people for a month and a half. (The bank said it was a mix up) All the bank did was to advise me to close the account. I suspected it was somebody in the Bank of America to have all that information. They should do more to check ID and check CC camera, which they never did. They do not care when they should take more security measures. Calling the Bank of America is always a nightmare because they keep transferring me to other departments where I have to repeatedly answer security questions each time without getting any substantial help to the end for an hour and a half.

I've mentioned this before but nobody at CBS investigated it. As an EDD recipient, I noticed last year the BofA EDD telephone representatives didn't always sound professional. When I'd hang up, I'd think that was odd. After the whole debacle was reported and exposed, the reps sounded more professional. The call number changed which seemed to go to a different call center. Here's my theorycraft: What if the customer representatives were prisoners contracted by BofA through a prison industry complex business? And what if the reps gave the EDD recipients' information to other prisoners who would use the info to create false claims? KPIX I hope you can find out from BofA or EDD if they used prison labor for the BofA EDD call center. Again just a theory but to have many false claims come from prisoners doesn't right unless they got a claimants info. Maybe the EDD executive management and BofA are aware of it and don't want it exposed. Again just a theory.

Finally in our location they refused to help because a credit card Bank of America, not a part of Bank of America, they explained. Credit card Bank of America is separate from the bank of America.
