@@smesh141 i can agree ryan has more titles and been more dominate in no gi at least. ryan really cemented himself as goat contender,,,but marcelo was in totally different weight class. he couldn't win absolute ( how many below the 200 have won absolute in adcc? he was the first to get 3rd and yeah i know pablo did it ) and get into superfights . the technique for lighter weights is different. im trying to say Your not seeing robert drysdale doing crazy cobrinha maiyo bro's style guards lol, but they're insanely powerful. just like boxing power is a way bigger factor in the heavier classes/absolute so its really hard to compare them p4p.,, but why marcelo stands out is how he won his matches and the division, his opponents in absolute were always felt like they were giving him the worst opponents.. imagine cacareco had exploded into a heelhook on his little leg-o's yet he finished so many in hightlight reel styles, even his matches had so many technical master pieces, then xguard, etc
