As far as Flo cares the sport can die as long as they have exclusive video rights to film it. Mosquitoes like this exist in every industry and I’m hoping there’s enough strong-willed people in the grappling world to really reject what they’re all about.
@Kuwaitisnot_adeployment3 ай бұрын
They both deserve a ton of gratitude and credit for putting the sport and certain athletes on the map but they're also the one's most to blame for the sports stagnation as a professional sport and culture of paying athletes peanuts while getting rich off those same athletes. If flo really cared about the athletes and sport as a whole they wouldn't copyright claim athletes that film videos with them on their channel but don't allow them to use that same footage they made on their own channels which they do do that. (😂they do do😂) And that's on top of underpaying the athletes and not giving anything back to the sport itself. Same goes for ADCC except they love the sport but just want the athletes to come put a show on for them for practically nothing while keeping all the profit for themselves. I agree with you they deserve recognition but have worn out their usefulness and are actually hurting the sport now. We should boycott them forever unless they agree to work with Craig and CJI on fixing all these problems. Unfortunately for Craig that's going to have to include drug testing sport wide if he ever expects to legitimize BJJ as a professional sport.

Hearing of people dying of staph and other infections is just so heartbreaking... I got a big infection at Victory MMA (of Jocko Willink fame) in San Diego. Was my first time having it, was a bit freaked out but mostly because the doctor I saw was like "Where did you get this?! I've never seen such a strong staph infection ever"... And the gym just told me it's normal and to just get used to it. 😥

I like what Craig has done to improve things. I have tried to do the same in the past in the UK on a lot smaller scale I was not happy with grappling shows charging for ticket sales but having grapplers on shit mats on the floor with poor production ect so I said I want the competitors to be treated better and to at least feel and be seen as pro athletes even if they weren’t getting purses ect so I put on Tuff Invitational on a big platform and had events streamed on KZbin and even though there was no money for the competitors as in purses I had a drop down box on the website where the event tickets were sold where the customer could choose the name of the grappler they wanted 20% of the ticket money to goto From these events I see other promoters have to pick the standard up and then tatami and scramble guys started to run Polaris, I believe they started this as I also did run TUFF Fight wear previously and although I was not really selling merch anymore I think tatami saw this as a good way to promote their brand similar to what they thought I was doing, either way it was cool as Polaris had more cash and took it to another level - I feel I was the catalyst to that and it made me happy that I raised the bar a bit in UK grappling events Keep up the good work
