Eddie Cochran Rock and Roll Siknger Crash Site and Place of Passing.
Eddie Cochran was an American rock and roll musician.
Eddie Cochran's songs, such as "Twenty Flight Rock", "Summertime Blues", "C'mon Everybody" and "Somethin' Else", captured teenage frustration and desire in the mid-1950s and early 1960s. He experimented with multitrack recording, distortion techniques, and overdubbing even on his earliest singles. He played the guitar, piano, bass, and drums.[1] His image as a sharply dressed and attractive young man with a rebellious attitude epitomized the stance of the 1950s rocker, and in death he achieved iconic status.

Hello silver stars, well, that's wonderful that you're such a big fan. Did you hear the story about them? Working up in a panic in the hotel. Screaming and the manager came to him and he told the guy he thought he had a premonition of his death which happened the following year. I believe that's really weird. Glad you enjoyed it. Been such a big admirer. Thank you Alan

I was 14yr old when this wonderful young man was killed. I loved his songs so much, and was just so sad when we learned he had been killed in a car crash. I often thought of what he would have become, a huge continuing sucess. I also thought of how his poor dear mother and father were just devastated and, hurt the rest of their lives. Their all together in Heaven now with our Wonderful Lord Jesus to comfort them forever. Thank you Sir for this video.

Without Eddie, there would be no Pete Townsend, Rod Stewart, Led Zep, Marc Bolan, or Hendrix. He was a fabulous talent who left far too early. It speaks volumes that six decades after his premature passing, nobody had a bad word to say about him. Like James Dean, he will remain forever young.

As a long time guitar player myself...I also heard Eddie used a thiner B string as an E string to help with his wild Country sounding bends.... Yes the leaving of flowers has a strange history, its a modern for of sacrifice, back in ancient times they killed an animal or in some cases a human in respect of the dead person. Today we kill flowers, you can put whatever spin you want on that, but it is the killing of something living to mark someone's death. Eddie was not a big hit maker in the usa, and despite releasing records since 1956 only a few ever actually made the charts in his home country, even less so for gene vincent, both were a little more successful in Europe chart wise and represented the rocker element by the way they dressed

Thanks Alan for this tribute - I remember hearing about the crash on the news when I was 13 - I have a greatest hits album and on it my favourite song of his was 'Cut Across Shorty'.

The memorial has been smartened up since I was last there. It was level with the ground on the verge with a car's wheel resting on it!

This was a very informative history, and wonderfully presented. I never knew this, that Eddie, even in the most traumatic and stressful seconds of his young life, thought FIRST to shield his girlfriend from the harm he had to know was coming. That speaks volumes about what kind of a man he was.
