Eddie will always be the boss in my opinion. He did this while competing in world's strongest man, Europe's strongest man, Britain's strongest man and UKs strongest man around the same years. Plus his 216 kg axle press just a year after as well as benching and squatting nothing short of insane numbers. (265kg x6 bench and 345kg x7 squat with a big pause on the last rep)

The Beast looked around for an extra few seconds, made eye contact with each section of that crowd, even after the coaches were telling him to drop it. he looked around and saw what it is to visualize what accomplishing your dreams looks like in as many faces as he could, with the fury and blood on his face, before dropping that 1/2 ton to the ground and shaking history itself. absolute legend.

I've got nothing but huge respect for this man he is something special. He does that INCREDIBLE lift which I saw years ago and was utterly wowed. Then he nearly dies. Then he gets up and talks on the mic, and with tears call his wife over and then tells everyone this is my lovely daughter. Family is all. Family is everything. He wouldn't be who he is without his family behind him. And then he says if the other two guys coming next lift what I have, we'll all share it tonight. What a man, what humility, massive massive respect Eddie.

Hate seeing all these comments about thor being better and eddie being a "has-been", seriously? Before eddie people didnt even think 500kg was possible. If eddie didnt do this lift thor wouldnt ever. Cant we just say that they're both amazing athletes and just be impressed instead of calling ever of them out like this

Yes. We have Eddie to thank for Thor having to lift his game to these unbelievable levels. Eddie's always said Thor is more genetically gifted than he will ever be - but Eddie tries so damn hard with what he has, he will force Thor to never give anything less than his best.

@@willyab2451 Never saw that one. I saw him pick up a 1200lb wrecking ball and he did it fairly easy. Andre was stronger than this guy so that's crazy. 400lb 6'5 men were afraid of Andrea. One even carried a gun in his shorts while in the ring.

Strength is the ability to exert muscular force against an object, the most efficient way to measure overall strength would be the ability to exert maximum force against the line of gravity on an object, in this case the dead lift is the most direct way to measure it, so yes i would agree with Eddie here.
