@@Foraging_in_kent Friendly ogre. For in Tolkien's works where Orcs originated they were generally a bit shorter than humans and not as strong, taking cowardly strength in numbers or having to be forced into becoming organised by a cruel overlord. The idea of Orcs being naturally more muscular than humans comes from the Uruk-Hai specifically, which were a special elite breed of Orcs. More modern nterpretations of Orcs, such as with Warhammer or Warcraft stuff, have been more in line with said Uruk-Hai.

It's unlikely that the rank and file would be loaded head to toe in plate like this unless you were a noble. Normal people would likely have a gambeson, a helmet/coif and maybe some mail, maybe they might have a cuirass or birgandine that was extremely well worn and not well fitted. All of that is still extremely protective of course but not nearly to this degree. Broken bones galore and cuts in the less protected areas like hands, wrists, etc.
@Asraeks
@Asraeks 8 ай бұрын
@@valkymia3708 depends on time region and period. In late middle ages armor like this was relatively common as professional (mercenary) armies were becoming more popular. Brigandine was relatively cheap and people would not save money when it comes to their lives. We can see in paintings from late middle ages that that sort of armor was quite common

9:26 This is where you abuse what they are doing against you. If they keep "grabbing" stuff on you like the shield, then you take advantage of that and SMASH with ALL your might and then some, your club in a downwards motion aiming for his underarm/bone.... Think "cut his arm off with your blunt club"...... Aim between the openings or the weakspots. Or, in the middle of a big flat piece (jsut transfer the energy into his arm) You dont have to actually cut his arm off, just muster enough strength so that he will break his bone or feel extreme pain.

Get this man a great shield and spiked boots. 1. He’ll win every contest of strength on the battlefield. 2. He’ll take almost no battle damage with one of those enormous walls out in front. 3. And any man he runs over he’ll kill right away. THE LIVING TRAIN!

It's so cool that you do try those sports so we don't have to. And gives them so much exposure 🎉

imagine this dude in front of you on a battlefield and he is the next enemy you have to defeat. its like seeing a juggernaut in COD.

The boxing bit just shows how incredibly tough that armour is, that no body-generated amount of force can really phaze you anymore.

Love Eddie's attitude to everything, give it all a go with grace and a little humility. The choice of 5 to fight, eh not so humble there, but now he's rhe only person to fist fight a mob of armoured knights for real these days. Lot of stuff that only Eddie is gonna be able to say, he did that. Respect. Also: Maximinus Thrax. Its a role our man was born to play...

Love to see it. Eddie's not wrong about knocking someone out, it's hard until you have a 2h Falchion or any of the other bigger weapons. A good hit to the back of the head even with the kit on will lights out even the big boys. Bohurt/HMB is good fun to watch.

The pic was misleading; I was expecting a poleaxe to be planted into your fist. Sick fight and it's always good to branch out. This is pro sports at the purest. Well done!

I don't really follow competitions of lifters and that kind of thing, but Eddie is willing to try so many different things and seems like such a swell guy to boot, so I can't help but find these videos fascinating and he just seems very charismatic.

Wild so see the fact that without lethal blows, a person in plate essentially is immune to striking from another human, really impressive.
