@@KallousKiwinot sure he’s killed his legacy… two World Cup finals with two different nations, and coaching Japan to the biggest upset in rugby history are no mean feat. Perhaps those who have killed their reputations are the ARU blazers who paid millions to cut Rennies contract short in favour of a 63 year old whose best days were obviously in the distant past. Aus may still manage something at this WC, but if the ARU cut Jones they are just repeating the same old mistakes. In any case, Jones will walk away with a juicy pay check for 6 months work.

Congrats to Fiji. Well deserved win. The loss is not a great surprise, based on the previous results. In my view, the team selection from the beginning is the underlying issue. Quality & experienced players were unfortunately left behind / missed out in the World Cup. Fiji 's kicker was incredible and they are contenders to leapfrog into the top tier of Rugby. Australians must now accept we have a developmental side, and we were never in contention for this world cup. 17 penalties lost us the game in the end, but across the board not the best performance from the Wallabies. Eddie Jones had the hard task of trying to salvage something from a hard defeat. We see character and i remain of the opinion Eddie Jones is the best coach by a long margin to manage the Wallabies revival.

Becoming the coach of the wallabies in the same year of the RWC is an extremely short time, especially when you are trying to fix a team that has been on the decline year by year. Actually Rennie was doing well, a couple of close losses to big teams like France and Ireland made his stats look far worse then they actually were. The only reason they lost by a point to Italy was that Donaldson missed a conversion that an under 16 schoolboy regularly puts over. The sacking of Rennie by Hamish McLennan was devastating for the continuity and morale the rebuilding project. McLennan is the real architect of this disaster.

Not a fan of Eddie but what I can say is he was smart taking this team to the WC. He knows there was no way they were going to win this WC even with some senior players he left out the squad. But what he's doing is giving these guys the experience. Aus have a very young team. Watch them at the next WC. Even before that. Give these guys two years and they are going to be a force to he reckoned with. This coming from a Bok fan. So I see Eddie long term vision. Just not sure if he will be there.

Just listen to how he answers what is next. It's all "I" and "me". Look at the teams that are thriving, it's all about "we" and "us" as a group and team. I wonder if the team has lost hope in their coach? It seems like the morale is and has been down for a good couple of months now. Just my observation. As a SAFFA, I feel for the Ausies man. I know they will bounce back to return to their former glory. They have a passionate nation behind them. I just don't know if it will be under EJ.

Great win for Fiji 🇫🇯 🎉 but as an 🇦🇺 fan this is a new low. To come into a World Cup with 5 straight loses and a squad that lacks depth, experience and exposure is a complete failure in both leadership and management. 4 years to build and invest for this. The players should really Jane some time looking in the mirror. Because they simply look like they don't want it and arnt even on the same level as the top sides, it's heart breaking for passionate wallabies faithful. Horrible result for rugby across Australia and the future of the game is on a knife edge.

South African here. I know Eddy’s been called a charlatan and whatnot but I reckon thus slump Australia have been through will bring them back to form. South African rugby went through a bit of a dark patch which galvanised the new SA rugby team who I think are now pretty unstoppable. I wish the Aussies the same redemption because the game is better when there is a formidable Aussie team in the mix. I hate to see rugby union lose a bit of steam. The fans deserve world class and I hope this World Cup propels teams to come out of tier 2 status

I understand rhe pressure on Australia, to a point, its very much like the England Rugby complex where they are just expected to win every game. Im so proud of him because he's still there. Pacific islanders needs a coach like Jones but we don't have money to afford him. Tell you what, Jones will be good coaching my pacific team because we have so many good talents around there. To be honest, i don't see any good players like in the old Wally's like tim horran and others. Thats why his struggling to pick his team. They got more good players in rugby league but less in rugby union. Please don't put me wrong.

I'm from Fiji and i just wanted to say big vinaka vakalevu to the mighty Aussie team. Since Australia welcome the Fiji drua team to compete in their rugby provincial game is really been a positive and helpful factor to Fiji rugby. It was a really good hard rugby game and either team could win it. To the Aussies fans, only those who had never carry a rugby ball in their life will talk shit about the Wallabies team . Here in Fiji we also respect the Wallabies rugby team and even have fans because they're tier one rugby team. Please Aussie people don't talk shit to the boys. Vinaka.
