I am not a big Kingston fan, but I agree with him, there are no spots unless you step up. For those who think CM Punk made Kingston relevant, Kingston earned his contract doing an incredible match with Cody and having matches that were talked about on KZbin Channels as must see. Aside from the ending of the exploding ring and talking crap about a company he was not a part of, Kingston has had a good AEW career. He should in my opinion do a championship run due to his work ethics and appealing persona.

If two wrestlers can take rainbows and unicorns and make them popular or fun those two wrestlers can make anything work. So before you try to make a point on gimmicks realize the person behind the gimmick can either make it work or go through the motions and fail. Undertaker's gimmick and evolutions of the gimmick worked because Mark the wrestler made it work. Can Eddie do the same, no idea but he is in a character people like, maybe it is him, maybe it is just a gimmick. But do not attempt to damper a gimmick that was not supposed to work but the wrestlers made it work, made it popular and fun. Because not many can do that.

Kingston was relevant log before CM Punk joined AEW. He had incredible matches and although I am not a huge Kingston fan do know and acknowledge he earned his contract and I hope he does win a couple of championships. CM Punk came in and Kingston helped make an interesting program. But fact is people talked about it due to Kingston and CM Punk not just CM Punk with a wrestler Punk made relevant.
