ALAN BROWN No, Keaton said Eddie winning would be fine because he thought Eddie was incredible in the role. Nowhere did it suggest he thought Eddie was head & shoulders above him. Which Eddie wasn't. The Hawking role is a more obvious showcase for acting with it's chronological progression of a character. But what Keaton did was bottled lightning, full of intangible beats - playing out a raw, exposed psyche. We've seen stuff on the lines of "The Theory Of Everything" before. But it is Keaton's film that will be remembered and revered 20 years from now.
