I wish that people would STOP and think about the people that they are going to leave behind when they OD. I lost BOTH of my kids to a needle and spoon. My son Joey was only 18 years and 2 months and 4 days ago. He passed away on 12-6-06. Then I lost my daughter Nicole. She was 25 days shy of turning 31. She passed away on 4-3-11 Now I have NO FAMILY left. On holidays it's NOBODY to share them with. So PLEASE stop and think about what you are doing. I'm just one VERY SAD MOTHER. He and Eddie were best friends guys. So this is why Eddie is so messed up here. The crowd sings at like every concert ever, unless the crowd is kept below 100 people, you'll always hear people singing. And even if the crowd is kept to a minimum, you'll still hear people sing, not as many, but still. I do have to say there is something mysteriously beautiful about 30,000+ people singing together.

No!! I'm so surprised by how much I dislike this. Great singer. Great song. And it doesn't work. I feel that Vedder is singing it in Neil Young's voice range and his baritone chops can't handle the high stuff. Maybe he could have nailed it in a different key...I actually feel that it would be quite good in a lower key...

Heroin has taken more lives famous and not so famous, Heroin is a mind killer. First you become ashamed of yourself, because of the way you look, Then DEPRESSED, then you just want it to stop. Then you end it. Pain is gone, and the pain of that loss starts for the friends & family left behind to try and understand why they didn't have a chance to help! Eddie Vedder was trying to understand with this song, cuz addiction is so much more...
