This does not look like a 2006 CR-V. I believe this is a 3rd Gen CR-V. So it got to be 2007 to 2011. Unless you are talking about the year it was built, in that case it would be a 2006. The video was great! Thank you. Now I can try to change the radio on my Mother's 2007 CR-V. Again, Thank you for the how to video.

Hi, thanks for the video! My crv is 2007 but quite similar overall. I bought a generic tablet with all the connections done and a rear camera. I have found out that clearly the sound is not the same, im feeling that the problem resides in the subwoofer not working. Im going to investigate if there is any configuration i will have to make! Overall, it is a game changer. Being able to have the map on the screen is awesome. The bass works perfectly. It even has 4g, and the possibility to add a sim card.
@MadMaxwell713 күн бұрын
Typically the cheaper aftermarket ones will give you all the bells and whistles of a modern system but have a lower wattage output. To fix this without changing the headunit again to a higher output model all you'd need it to go old school and add an amp for your speakers.

Question: I have a 2007 CR-V with a display already and would like to upgrade it to something more modern (navigation, CarPlay, etc.). Do you have a product you'd recommend in my case? I'd still like to be able to use my "old" rear view camera. Thanks!

I don't have a product that I recommend but some replacement radios accommodate a plug for your steering audio controls and factory back-up camera.

Yes! Make sure you have the power wires hooked up as described in the wiring diagram that came with the radio. One wire is power (Red) Memory (Yellow) Power antenna (Orange) The colors may vary, just be sure the radio turns off when the key is in the off position.

Hi L.B. I put links to all the stuff I used in the video in the description below. The link will bring you to Amazon and to the wiring harness you need. I recommend you put your vehicle year make and model in your search on Amazon and they will notify you if the wire harness is compatible with your vehicle. @@EddieCarrara1 Hi Eddie, I am checking into it, I am not entirely clear on the connections including the navi...there is always not enough port/connections. Any insight that you find would be great, thank you.
@EddieCarrara12 жыл бұрын
@@LarryGreen @L.B. Green Are you replacing the complete unit with a Navi unit? Or is your Navi unit separate from the radio? If you are installing an audio unit with Apple car play and Android that has a built-in Navi unit you'll only need a wire harness to connect the vehicle harness to the audio unit, Navi is part of the unit and no additional wire should be needed. Let me know what you're trying to install.
@LarryGreen2 жыл бұрын
@@EddieCarrara1 I am just trying to install a new head unit that has navi included, there are a total of 10 receiving ports on the back of the OEM unit, I've deciphered 3 of them (2 being the wiring harness that you spoke of and one seems to be link for steering wheel controls)...the rest are the problem...do I need to worry bout them? This is my sticking point, I do not understand why so many pins on the back of this unit (P/N: 39541-SWA-A010-M1).Thank you for all of the insight/time you are providing, I really do appreciate it.
@EddieCarrara12 жыл бұрын
@@LarryGreen You're welcome and it's no problem. I hope we can get this up and running for you. You're connecting the new unit to the vehicle so all you need to do is wire the power, ground, aux power, speakers, and steering controls if applicable. Plugin the new unit just to test it without installing it ( let it just sit in the dash). I don't think you need to do anything else unless the new unit states otherwise. I wouldn't worry about any other connectors at this time unless something isn't working in the new unit. How many receiving ports were being used on the OEM receiver?

Hi Bill, Try using a plastic trim tool under the vents and above the radio, pry outwards, there is usually a clip in each corner and one in the center.

Hi Osmin, The radio comes with its wire harness, you need to purchase the wire harness to connect to your vehicle. Hi Jaksclips, I believe you have the same body style because I know the video says 2006 but it's an 07, so the body style will be 2007-2012. Just put your vehicle information into Amazon and it will verify if the parts will fit your vehicle. Let me know how you make out, thanks.
