I actually think the i7 looks the part. It’s a bold design, which isn’t everyone’s thing, but it’s definitely not ugly like some say.

Styling is definitely very subjective. If the grilles were blacked out, it would be better. They just look a bit too much like a pair of giant beaver teeth to me.

How did this compare to the ghost you reviewed? Is the ride quality comparable or is rolls still leagues ahead

The new ghost has this wild planar suspension system which is next level. Felt unbelievably isolated and smooth. This was good, but rolls is still better.

Personally I feel like i7 drives more similar to the Spectre than the Ghost. The Ghost isn’t a driver’s car at all. The Spectre is more dialed in but it’s still more isolated than the i7 which can be surprisingly dynamic feeling in Sport mode.

It's not ugly. The layperson non car nerd normie has already spoken. This whole BMWs are now ugly is just a weird thing being perpetuated by certain car nerds and other people as part of a larger "everything new is ugly. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to so and so decade?" agenda that's floating around on the internet. And you know it's true because even when car designers design cars that overtly call back to a previous decade, car nerds still say "It's ugly" simply because it's a new thing.

I think that the biggest deal breaker of this car is how hideous it looks... I can't believe the majority have seemingly forgotten or have grown on to like the look of the disgusting piggy snort snout grill. Every part of the car looks really nice, and the interior is incredible, but I just can't get over how it looks. I wish they took a step back and went back to their old design language that I think 99.9% of people preferred
