I cant believe they made negativa a stance, this is PERFECT capoeira wise. The bananeira/handstand also looks like an actual capoeira handstand now and you can even use it to dodge like you’d commonly do in a roda! Super hyped about the changes made and thankful a capoeira instructor gave actual gameplay insights on how to translate capoeira to a movelist in an even more refined way than before. eddy was already the best implementation of capoeira by a long shot in any fighting game and im excited to see the changes, they look amazing!

As a Capoeirista for 20 years and knowing Eddie since his start in Tekken 3, I am completely delighted, the movements look more realistic than before and are made as if they were used in a real Roda. The Ginga is beautiful and perfect, the Negativa is done to perfection down to how the fingers are positioned. I see it and it makes me want to train and I hope they correct the sh1t at the end of Tekken 7, Eddie and Christie brought a tremendous story... and they come to insult us with that sh1t at the end of T7

i hope so. one thing i worried about Eddy is that he's very vulnerable during hand stands. so if Eddy was trying to pressure opponent during hand stands, people can just enter heat burst and splat eddy on the ground and probably get a free combo out of it

his new ginga looks very rigid. his ginga from tekken 7 looked like he had more rhythm and flow. some of the animations look pretty good but a lot of these animations just feel like they have less personality than the OG ones. kinda reminds me of marc damascus in only the strong. too much of his previous martial arts training came through in his movements and it didn’t look as much like authentic capoeira.

A button mashers best friend and it would very often pay off. You're talking about defending against him. Yeah an experienced player knows to stick n move,make eddy HAVE to come to you and capitalize on their desperate use for handstand/negativa.

No he isn't. Eddy is probably one of the harder characters to use at high level. Mashers can easily mash with any character that has strings that are easy to mash out, just look at Hwoarang, Reina, and any other character who isn't easy to use but has east enough strings to throw out
