The neat thing about the title of this game is that you can literally reorder the constituent words in all possible ways and it doesn't mean any more or any less.

I think the ideal way to avoid the tsunami would be something like a hot air balloon for the player to use to rise above it and then come back down but the catch is it has limited storage space and everything you don't place on it will be washed away forever and this continues until you finish enough R&D to escape the planet or run out of fuel for the balloon.

They should have turned this into a survival escape game - you crash land and have to rush to rebuild your ship before the wave hits. That would have been immersive and they could have multiple planets with various difficulties.

The whole game could have been about building and powering a huge shield generator long enough to survive that tidal wave and it would be great fun! Can you fit your whole base under a single shield canopy? Can you build it fast enough? Can you power it long enough? The whole game could have been about that and it would have been worth it. Maybe they can still do something like that. Natural disasters versus base building is a great recipe even for co-op. Run out with your friends, get resource, see huge environmental threat, run for life dearest back to your bunker. Repeat.

this game could be a great exploration game with unique resources in the ocean, on land, and in the sky. the tsunamis being able to change your base location with like floating house-pods that ride the wave when it hits would give the game a unique nomadic edge (tsunamis could force you to move on land, colossal waterspouts could force you to move in the ocean), but instead we got broken solar panels in a dirt mound

Imagine having a natural cavern nearby that you'd just need to plug with very very very strong structural plug to withstand the force. have wave come by every single revolution of planet around its star (depending on difficulty i'd have this differ for few reasons - the wave would be a problem for sprawling bases on the surface and the ground would be more fertile closer to sun maybe? give and take - lure of building out at cost of having to do it more often versus keeping it all safe and underground i like the idea of having player decide that themselves.) You could even work in many other things from sim city - earthquakes, meteorite showers, maybe dust storms and as atmosphere builds up with terraforming weather effects such as tornado, gail winds, torrential rain, or even snow. that is what could set it apparat, not shortage of random thing and crybaby meters but genuinely hostile planetary conditions. it realy realy stings when something with at least aluring premise comes by and squanders it. its why i think VOY was horrible horrible show that broke trek, its why MEA was such a failure.... they had something and did NOTHING with it at all interesting.

the huge tsunami looks sick! really a wasted oportunity. should force you to build sealed bunkers and whatnot to hide in, maybe some sort of tsunami shields so your base doesn't get hit by that huge blast of the tsunami and instead just flooded, which you can then pump dry once the tsunami is over. in general hardcore extreme weather effects during terraforming should be a prime focus in such a game. simply laying down some conveyor belts from A to B doesn't get my blood pumping.

Why the hell would anyone choose to settle on a planet with such insane tidals? Unless in underwater bases who are unaffected by that. At least the existence of that giant wave explains why there's absolutely no life on dry land anywhere. Because it all gets swept away by overwhelming water force regularly.

In Satisfactory I wanted more of a goal to all the building other than just sending things up a space elevator and collecting coupons... though maybe they will actually add one when 1.0 comes out this September and with Plant Crafter I want to have to build huge, expansive factories to supplies huge terraforming facilities I've also built to then see a detailed yet barren world slowly change into a lush paradise instead of the ridiculously small scale you actually build. So I tried this when it came out and was bored very quickly and feel it's highly unlikely it will ever reach the scale or quality of either of those two amazing titles which makes me sad.
