The creatures were the worst part of the movie IMO but surprisingly didn't hurt the movie mostly because of a great story concept and outstanding cast performances. I've viewed it three times and enjoyed it each time. Charlotte Riley(wife of Tom Hardy) as Nance was a hoot in a small part that really mattered.
