Edge has done everything in WWE. If Edge wants to redefine himself, the best way to do that is have matches with wrestlers in another company. Edge did have a feud with Christian in WWE, however their feud in AEW is better.

Hell, Christian's doing the best work of his entire _career_ over in AEW right now. And really, that's the biggest reason why I'm happy for the WWE to have a rival - they consistently misused Christian and he was never really able to achieve the success he has now. It's awesome seeing wrestler's get a real second chance. Especially when you're a fan. 😂

@@TheRavenholme in TNA Christian showed he could be a main eventer. Then when he went back to WWE Christian was misused again. Vince didn't think Christian was good enough to win a world title without some bs finish. Which was put into the contract if Rko gets DQ Christian will be world champion. Either that or Vince was punishing Christian for becoming world champion in another company. Proving his worth. Vince decided to embarrass Christian. We all know how petty Vince is.

Such mad respect for Copeland for having every reason to just ride the legendary nostalgic wave and phone it in; but this dude put in the work, had to work with small crowds and build something from nothing and bust his ass off making it work. Both Christian and Edge/Cope are prime examples of putting in the work and working everyone and involving people to get on their level. Cope earned that TNT title and has every reason to rep it proudly. Now he gets to have his own dream match/story with Malakai Black! This is where the fun stuff begins.

He made the right choice, simply because he did everything he could do in WWE and it was time for him to try one final run with Christian and for the WWE to focus on different people. I think in these last four years the only things I did not appreciate in his run were his win againts Balor in the Cell and the match with Suzuki, apart from that I really enjoyed what he did in WWE and what he is now doing in AEW. For example, I would choose his recent match against Cardona over any "five star" spotfest we are recently subjected to.

Adam Copeland has already said multiple times that he wants to retire alongside Jay Reso (aka Christian Cage), his real-life best friend and former tag-team partner. He wants to do it in AEW, and it will likely happen within the next 2 years. It's all in motion now, beginning with the debut of Adam Copeland and his drawing of the proverbial line in the sand when he chose Sting and Darby Allin over Christian Cage. Their programs since then have all been leading to it. Adam and Jay will inevitably have a massive send-off retirement match in AEW, similarly to what TK planned for Sting. They might return for something in WWE years down the road, but it won't be what most WWE fans are probably expecting, mate. And that's still okay 💯💯💯

@@empower5228 I would love for Adam Copeland and The Patriarch Christian Cage to eventually team up again and win the Trios titles along with Beth Phoenix. AEW offers more opportunities for the ultimate opportunist.
@empower5228
@empower5228 Ай бұрын
@dannyknightblade4592 As awesome as that would be to witness in AEW, I'm fairly certain that the AEW World Trios Championships are for the men's division only, but you're absolutely right about AEW and Tony Khan being more open-minded than anything WWE has done, especially after they became a PG company. Anyhow, Lizzie Copeland (aka Beth Phoenix) could still be involved with Adam and Jay in some capacity jsyk, even if it's as their valet or manager. Or she could potentially sign with AEW and just wrestle as well lol I'm here for all possibilities tbh! I would love to see her wrestle Jamie Hayter or Kris Statlander...a true display of technical skill and physical strength! Hopefully, some or all of these things come to pass. Anything is possible when it comes to AEW, and Adam and Jay are having the time of their lives nowadays 😅💯

Edge left to be with Christian again. If he wanted time away HHH would’ve gladly given him that. HHH and WWE respected his decision to go. You’re giving Tony Khan too much credit, the guy is a shit booker and all he cares about is what WWE is doing better. TK was all calm and collected when Vince was running the company into the ground, the second HHH took over, he lost his damn mind. I’m happy that Edge is happy, but the only thing Tk did was hire Christian that’s all 😂

This 👏 👏 👏 WWE wasted him at the end. Now, Adam will get to finish things on his terms and retire next to his real-life best friend and former tag-team partner. I predict a massive retirement match at All In next year at Wembley Stadium. By then, I imagine that Adam and Jay will be the AEW World Tag-Team Champions, and they'll be defending those titles in the biggest ever TLC Match in AEW history against FTR, Aussie Open, Blackpool Combat Club, the Lucha Brothers, the Young Bucks, the Hardys, and the House of Black. If, for some reason, the Hardys are no longer available come that time, I could see them being substituted by the Acclaimed or Darby Allin and Nick Wayne. Either way, it's gonna be a HUGE send-off for Adam and Jay, which they absolutely deserve, and it should make for one helluva unforgettable main event 💯💯💯

@@quinterriouskelly9671Stop it. Triple H can't book worth a damn and hasn't changed the product to be anything different than when Vince McMahon was there. Same old more talking than wrestling bullcrap concept. And Triple H sucks at free agency. You can hate Tony Khan all you want. Tony Khan cares about the fans. Triple H and the corporate suits in WWE couldn't give a damn about you.

Lot of hateful and ignorant comments. The man is happy. Got to tell an amazing multi-month program with his childhood best friend Christian Cage and has more fulfilling creative. Funny when he returned he was loved and people were happy, now that he’s with AEW he’s “washed” and supposedly was never a draw. You people are unbelievable. Your opinions on performers change with the wind because of an imbecilic loyalty to a company that does not give a damn about you.

Thats the only reason anyone ever goes there. They say it's for "creative freedom" but it's because TK is willing to pay a 40 year old wrestler 8-10 million a year. Can't really blame these guys for chasing checks and making sure their kids and even their grandkids financial futures are completely set in stone. After they get their money, they come back home. Mark my words, after Mercedes/Sasha cashes in those 10 mill a year checks for a few years, she'll come back too

I don't watch the product anymore it's unwatchable for me. I think he made the wrong decision. Sure, he'll tell more stories in AEW, but it will be quantity over what could have been quality in the WWE. Also, in two appearances per month in WWE he'd perform for more fans than two appearances per week in AEW. Just my opinion from a long time fan perspective. It's just disappointing to see a great career end this way, but it is his life and I hope he is still enjoying himself.
