I wanted to comment about your challenge the stats, beacause I'm a Pandemonium enjoier aswell, I play It in my Omnath Locus of Rage, and It Just does stupid things, even of I play It early without supprt, It helps slow the game since other players tend to use It to remove stuff instead of going face, and once I Have the angry jellybean up and running with landfall shenanigas It does looots of danages, Amazing card

I always love the "Challenge the Stats" portion of your shows. I truely see cards that I had never heard of. And that usually means that I can pick them up quickly before people realize how good they are. Congratulations on your 200 episodes. I think I have only been around for the last 50 or so, but I will have to go back and watch more.

I love Simulacrum and how weird of a card it is. When I read the oracle text, my though is to cast this when you have a Brash Taunter or Stuffy Doll in play, and you just reverse the damage you took that turn to another player!

Here's a thought: Play stuffy Doll Choose self Equip Pariah/Pariah's Shield Give Stuffy Doll lifelink Play Aetherflux Reservoir take any damage. The damage is redirected to Stuffy Doll Stuffy Doll Deals that damage to you The damage is redirected to Stuffy Doll The damage source is Stuffy Doll, triggering lifelink The damage continuously hits Stuffy Doll, and copies towards you but the copied damage is redirected to Stuffy Doll. Infinite lifegain loop Interrupt the loop with Aeitherflux Reservoir Win gooder. Did I do it right? I'm not that well-versed with the fine rules of intricate combos, loops, and lasers.

The thing with windfall in yidris is twofold: 1. The best 0 drop to cascade into is wheel of fate so youre incentivized to put synergies with that in, and 2. Windfall effects a cheap source of big draw for an unpredictable deck full of many individually powerful cards

There is at least one act of treason style card that works with Obeka. Slave of Bolas has a delayed trigger that sacrifices the stolen creature at end of turn.
@fro52353 жыл бұрын
@@beurtalvarez close, but no cigar, i'm afraid. Angrath the Flame-chained -3 ability is a full-blown 'until end of turn' act of treason. it does have a part that Obeka can influence, as it sacrifices the stolen creature at beginning of end step if it was cmc 3 or less. if you stop that, the rest of the ability will still hand it back to the owner.
@fro52353 жыл бұрын
@@beurtalvarez no worries. There's a reason be spent a good portion of the Obeka upping the average episode discussing the kinds of things the don't work for her. I'm sure there's others out there. Gods know they surprise me with a card I either didn't know or forgot existed every new episode. Half the fun, really.

I put Simulacrum in my Licia, Sanguine Tribune deck. I tap lands that hurt me, cast Simulacrum, gain a bunch of life and get to cast Licia multiple times as I sac her for value. Once I used it to target Licia with the damage portion. I was able to cast her three times in that one turn.

Found a spicy combo I think you'll like. Well Joey probably won't like it. Matt and Dana will though. Cast Rest in Peace and then enchant yourself with Wheel of Sun and Moon. Everyone's graveyard gets exiled, but YOURS gets cycled back into your deck.^^
@BFG933 жыл бұрын
Can atest to Mask of Griselbrand. I once swung in for 11 with daegomath titan, gain 11, then sacrificed to Jarad golgari litch, burning for 11, drawing 11 (paying nothing in end). Took few games with Jarad before they realised its concern even just sitting there.

In defense of the Yidris players out there, I personally feel that wheels are a great resource, as they let you refill your hand to keep cascading. You don't even care if you're refilling your opponents' hands, as there's precious little to interact with at this point. Even if Yidris leaves, your spells still gain cascade, and even if any given spell is countered, your trigger still goes off

I think with dubious challenge the opponent can technically fail to find on purpose even if there is one right?
@mn63343 жыл бұрын
They can't fail to find since there's no searching involved. You choose two creatures out of the top ten and they *may* choose to put one on the battlefield under their control. The issue is if they don't choose one you just get both anyway since after they make their decision it tells you to put the rest on the battlefield under your control.
@JCesarSoS3 жыл бұрын
Guys, let me challenge one the challenges? Telim Tor's Edict is great in Zada! I know it exiles all of my own creatures, but that is a perfect counter effect for a board wipe (something that usually happens when I'm about to win but have to wait a full rotation). Sure, I'll lose my board, but at least I'll be able to draw a lot too. Btw, congrats for the 200th episode. Love you guys!
