I made that wreath for an early christmas feast. My family loved it! A bit too sweet for my personal taste so next time I'd put a bit less sugar but as I said - the family loved it. I am now oblidged to make it again next year :) Thank you for that great recipe!

Yeast dough is actually not as hard as you might think. You just need some practice to get the consistency right but after that it's really easy and it's a good base for so many recipes.

I am so excited about this. I just watched the Great British Baking Show and they just made a apricot Couronne and I feel in love with it!! This one is much more better and I can' t wait to make my own filling for this with all kinds of chocolate and dried cranberries. I love yeast! Always a tentation to my eyes ! Like the combination of the flavours you used but If you let me to ask on the video you mixed the yeast on the dry ingredientes but on the blog it is saying to mix together with the lukewarm milk and butter. Donal, please could you let me know why you have used plain flour and not bread flour? I made this at new year and it was delicious, however, I felt that the use of plain flour did not hold the structure as well as bread flour. Maybe I should have done a longer second prove? Mine was also very sticky after the first mix. I quite like that because it gives a more tender bread but i definitely could not form it into a ball without a lot more flour. Saying all that everyone loved it and I am making it again today for a friend who requested it! Love your style.
