Just had cargols for the first time today. I know for sure I was eating them wrong, but then again, they didn't give me this fancy eacargot eating equipment. And yes, they do have an oyster taste to them.

In the North West of France we eat bigorneaux, they are little sea snails. They are just boiled with some aromatics and served without any sauce in their shells.

If you're like me and you picked up a plastic package of previously frozen escargot at Whole Paycheck on a whim, then watched this video, just know that all you have to do is bake those geometric wonders at 350 degrees for 15 minutes and then select a few to be set upon your crowded kitchen counter. No tongs? Never fear! You have a non-dominant index and thumb. No impossibly tiny fork? Never fear. The cork screw on the alcoholic Swiss army tool you just used to open your, not chardonnay, but imperial IPA, will probably be more effective. (Apply gently to the meat and turn until you can pull.) Cajun that I am, it's hard to find this icky. If you find yourself thinking of the garden snail your daughter feeds in a terrarium every day, I recommend watching something funny while you enjoy your first. Bon Appétit!

You eat a 711 hotdog, escargots are less processed food.

There is a movement afoot to accuse innocent people of child molestation. There was a home in Croton 10520 next to the public library. At the home was a lookalike for actor John Goodman. In 1986, he had a party at his house, and a high school band played. It was afternoon. A few days later, there was a get together in a living room. The woman was his girlfriend.

I just tried them and they're not really that good. They are not as bad though either. For the price it is ridiculous to eat something such. The shells look very decorative though, but that's of a lesser importance. Maybe they can be really good if not preseasoned in package but the taste says otherwise.

Snails taste amazing. She should have gone to China to et worms (though if the budget doesn't stretch that far she could try eating homegrowwn car tyres as the taste is very similar.)

Some years ago I was doing a single at this very upscale restaurant. I knew they served snails, but just wasn’t prepared for it when the guests at a table right in front of ordered snails. When the server brought out a half dozen , I was surprised at how large they were. I had just started into a song when I observed her pull that nasty critter out of its shell and pop it into her mouth. I almost gaged right in the middle of my lyrics. Yuck! No thank you. I can’t watch anyone eat them and I’m definitely not going to.

How is that more disgusting than seafood or eating a cute lamb? It's just that you are not used to the idea of eating them and you don't know how delicious they can be. Do you picture living cows when you eat a steak?

We eat oysters, scallops, clams and mussels all the time. This even tastes like an oyster.... to me, there's nothing disgusting about it, it's a mollusk, same as the oysters, just on land

Call me pedantic but seeing them using hands to hold the snails gives me shivers…
@IronFreee
@IronFreee Жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with that, as long as they don't burn themselves... Some people can have a hard time understanding how to use the clamp. It can quickly become annoying to watch them struggle, using them upside down and pressing them open as they try to catch the snail.

. They are just eating garlic sauce. When you put that much garlic and seasoning on anything it will be good. Get a bunch of cockroaches and drench them in garlic then guess what? The will taste like garlic 🤮

Well, I guess so if your feet sweat butter, garlic and parsley. Never seen a dry testicle. Or a wet one for that matter.
