The gold cable is supposed to go into the red wire clamp and the silver cable goes to the black.

IT doesn't matter they both are just copper cables, what matters is that you put the same cable in the same color on both speakers

I get a loud buzzing sound until I turn on my computer then it stops. Is this normal if not what's wrong? I double checked my wiring and it is correct. I just have to turn on my computer first then the speakers and all is well.

I believe it has to do with your speakers amplifying the noise from the electrical lines, it might just be a grounding problem

I use these (blacks) combined with their sub = amazing sound.

ok just looking at videos because looking for new speakers because mine are old sound fine but the cable makes it too loud to too quiet and its those plug in ones and getting annoying to adjust volume on my monitor to have it on low volume or half way up.

I bought these for my daughter and they both work when connected to her lab top but when connected to her record player only one speaker works and the other just vibrates. Do you possibly know what could be the issue? Thank you
