City said they would not rezone it (as it conflicted with their overall city plan and there is other industrial-zoned land) but would agree to a 3-year permit for industrial use. Chace said that is too short. A nice place to spend a lunch break. Make sure you save the space for it now, eventually everything will be covered in buildings and infrastructure, and it will be expensive to build it then. Ideally it needs to be in the middle of the action or close to it. Within eyesight of offices and factories, so you can get the moral bonus from the views and make it's use convenient.

Full throttle accelerate, screech to a halt, travel 30 or 40 feet total each bin. Your truck could regen brake, save power to make next start, diesel gen set just covers losses. 1 truck does garbage or recycling alternate weeks, another truck does food waste for compost every week. With rail access there is a lot to consider into condition of your spur. When the time comes, the railroad will send out its own track inspector and give you a yay or nay based on conditions. I'd highly recommend finding someone with track inspection/repair experience to hire on as a consultant to get you an idea of what youd need money wise to rehabilitate the plant. Once initial rehab is done, having the know-how to keep your plant in good order and doing it yourself will keep the costs down. I imagine even when you guys eventually boom and have a big input/output by rail, you won't need a switch locomotive. A trackmobile would suffice, but if you're eventually in the market for a switcher, check out Western Rail, Inc out of WA. They have a really neat rehab program where they take old 60s locomotives and repower them with modern Cummins power plants and electronics. Recycling old to make new and clean, and they aren't junk like genset locomotives ended up being!

Fantastic news, this sounds too good to be true for the eddison journey, a block of land that ticks all the boxes, i hope the township can supply all the labour requirements you need over the coming years,,,,, it really has been a pleasure watching your progress

Congratulations! Nicely done. And, as you point out - a great location on so many levels. Lots of great terrain around the area as well. Terrace loses and Golden and the surrounding area win. Stoked to see your progress in the months ahead.

Glad you’re keeping it in B.C! Golden Is definitely a good location. Rail line, Highway 1, FSR’s, local heavy industry, close to Alberta. Definitely a win!

Wow, that is an absolutely fantastic place to set up! The absolute easiest way to add space to most buildings is to make them longer.. so, making them as wide as practical in the first place is useful for efficiency, and placing them so that expansion suits the terrain can make a big difference!

Congratulations Chase and EricYou guys hit a Goldin jackpot with long-term planning with infrastructure already in place and the rall line is a huge bonus. I can see it now as a large operation of Edison trucks and electric vehicles manufacturing. You and your team are a modern day Henry Ford of your generation.

Been by there hundreds of times. A wiser choice logistically both from proximity to supply sources, as well as markets. Right on the TCH and 2.5 to 3 hours to Calgary.

I still support you man, always will. Please make it so people can invest less than $1k. I'd love to do a couple hundred, but not everyone can afford that much.

I love the way you guys think and solve problems. I am not sure any other company in your space would look at that lot, the way you do.
